I just googled Patrick Grant - I'm hooked on the Great British Sewing Bee, so I wanted to know a bit more about him. He's Scottish, went to boarding school and Oxford University, trained as an engineer and once worked as a nanny. He looks great in everything he wears cycling gear and has a girlfriend named Katie Hillier. I admit I did spend a few minutes drooling over looking at his images too. grin (I'm so shallow.)

I Google people all the time, usually to check whether my memory serves me right about something, but also to find out more about someone I am interested in.

I also Google actors to see where we know them from ... smile

Or meanings of words for husband doing the crossword.

It has now got so that my tablet is never far away.

I'm looking at a Pepperberry dress on eBay and I googled to see if Pepperberry clothing came up large or small fitting.

I don't know what search engine I used but I asked "what are capers?" Now I know

Coolgran65 Thu 30-Jun-16 08:16:00

Just googled toys for 3 year old on Amazon.com as they will deliver directly and free of charge to my dgs in the USA.

Grannyknot Thu 30-Jun-16 08:17:01

Capers are nasturtium seeds (I knew that grin )

Pittcity Thu 30-Jun-16 08:24:12

Ricky Tomlinson after watching "Born On The Same Day" because I couldn't believe that he was 77!

NanaandGrampy Thu 30-Jun-16 08:28:12

I googled a cream mentioned in the thin skin thread !

BBbevan Thu 30-Jun-16 08:30:29

I did Google Earth. To see what was in the vicinity of a cottage we were interested in.
Sadly it was a working quarry !

Badenkate Thu 30-Jun-16 08:30:44

There are so many things I don't know that I want to find out about when I hear about them and google has been so useful. Curiosity is the human condition. How do you find out about things Petra?

Maranta Thu 30-Jun-16 08:38:22

Grannyknot, you should try Googling, because capers are not nasturtium seeds ? but you can use them as a substitute. smile

Alima Thu 30-Jun-16 08:44:18

Monkey World as we are hoping to go there.

Anniebach Thu 30-Jun-16 08:45:19

I couldn't remember the name of the church on Anglesey where shipwreck victims are buried so googled it yesterday , takes far less time than search for a book on it

chelseababy Thu 30-Jun-16 08:46:46

Cyndi Pauper, to see how old she is, having seen her on tv at Glasto. Looked like she's had a bit of work done.

chelseababy Thu 30-Jun-16 08:47:27

Lauper!! Pauper couldn't have afforded it!

Greyduster Thu 30-Jun-16 08:48:44

Minecraft books. I was thinking of getting one for GS who has just started doing it, but he's moving so fast with it I think a book would be redundant! Before that I googled the consultant who is going to be doing by niece's surgery. I'm always googling something.

Teetime Thu 30-Jun-16 08:50:02

I asked Google what the population of the earth was a few days ago

Maggiemaybe Thu 30-Jun-16 08:54:45

Oh she has, chelseababy, a few years back, and she's written a book about it. She did loads of research to find the best surgeon, who happened to be in Paris. She looked so much better, my two colleagues and I pledged at the time that if one of us won the lottery, we would all three pay him a visit grin

Off now to Google to see whether it's stood the test of time.
