Old ads you remember

Just had our usual 'raucous' sunday family lunch. We got onto the subject of advertisements. I sang 'Opal Fruits, made to make your mouth water' (then the rest of it, lemon, lime, orange..... ) and 'Sorry mate, you're too late, the best peas went to Farrows'! My son sang the washing machine Calgon ad! We were in stitches remembering all the ads we grew up with. Any others?

Frank Muir singing 'Everyone's a fruit and Nutcase' to 'The Nutcracker' music. Cadbury's fruit and nut chocolate.

I can't hear that music now without his voice in my head!

I can always remember on a Christmas day afternoon the advert used to come on for hoseasons.
Now is the time to send us a line for your hoseasons boating brochure.
We've got all kinds of crafts which will suit you just fine, for messing about on the water.

The downstairs toilet is very old- and I've covered it with old postcards of old ads- love them. One of them dates from my first 6 months in the UK, working for Beecham's - and it of a little girl with a doggie pulling her pants down, showing whiter 'cheeks' than the rest of her body with the caption 'don't be a pale face' for Coppertone suntan lotion.

Often makes me smile and think this advert just wouldn't be allowed anymore.

Nuts, whole hazelnuts. Cadburys take them and they cover them in chocolate.
