That was a hard three weeks

Although I'm a fairly regular poster on MN, I lurked for quite a while here before I joined about three weeks ago. In that time I've been called a precious snowflake; accused of having a fit of the vapours ; being incredibly snobby, being satisfied to have something at which to take offence, creating a storm in a teacup, sniping, jumping in on one side or the other straightaway ( as a new poster) but you know the one thing that has really cut me to the quick was being accused of only knowing about 'six quid bottles ( of wine ) from the supermarket'. Anyway, will be having a break now for a few days and when I come back, I promise to behave better and to have drunk some more expensive wine

That's original DB

Pat-ron -is-ing also has quite a lot of syllables although I fail to see the rationale behind its use in this context.

DaphneBroon Sat 29-Oct-16 22:04:34

Irony has more sylables so you might want to leave that one till later

It also has a double "ll" in it.

Anya Sat 29-Oct-16 22:08:10

Tell that to my iPad!

Ana Sat 29-Oct-16 22:13:50

Bet Rigby and the other MNetters are loving all this!

Perhaps GN should be renamed Grumpsnet! ?

merlotgran Sat 29-Oct-16 22:17:23

When jingl was around you knew who was taking a pop at whom. It's open season on anyone at the moment and none of it seems to be making any sense.

Oh for the days of a good old fashioned ding-dong. Bish Bash Bosh and the thread was deleted. grin

Anya Sat 29-Oct-16 22:17:50

Yes, I'm a right bitch, aren't I thlgrin

merlotgran Sat 29-Oct-16 22:18:53

No wot, it shouldn't. We're NOT a grumpy site but Lord knows what's happening right now.

ninathenana Sat 29-Oct-16 22:20:15

As far as Im aware this is the first post I've seen from Rigby46 so I have no idea who's been accusing whom of the things mentioned in the op.
Casawan despite being in SE I don't have a cleaner, I shop in Aldi, only drink wine at Christmas and the furthest I've been is Europe. I'd love to know who is in this clique that I've seen mention of a few times lately thlconfused

I know, just being flippant. I approach GN now with fear and trepidation. I know how AWFUL it can make one feel when a poster is horrible.

Ana Sat 29-Oct-16 22:22:31

No you aren't at all Anya, but there is a very odd vibe around at the moment on GN and I think certain new members are just hoping for discord...

wot Sat 29-Oct-16 22:23:40

Stirrers. That's what they are

Anya Sat 29-Oct-16 22:28:11

You forgot the clique that meets up north. They shop in the Pound Shop, swill Guiness, don't bother cleaning their (council) houses as they're too busy walking their whippets and practising for the local brass band..

Then there's that shower north of the border......

wot Sat 29-Oct-16 22:31:35

Wish I lived " up North".

Casawan Sat 29-Oct-16 22:32:35

Then, Merlotgran, you need more of that lovely red wine.

Casawan Sat 29-Oct-16 22:33:42

Veritable cat among the flying rats. Such fun.

Anya Sat 29-Oct-16 22:34:36

See, now we're all friends again.

But, think I've upset DB - should I pop into the kitchen and apologise?

No, best let sleeping dogs lie.

Oh shut your cakehole.

rosesarered Sat 29-Oct-16 22:35:07

Anya grin

wot Sat 29-Oct-16 22:35:30

To the nasty one, not anya.

rosesarered Sat 29-Oct-16 22:36:13

That was for the post 22.28.11

rosesarered Sat 29-Oct-16 22:37:00

Posts keep getting X and then nothing makes sense.

Ana Sat 29-Oct-16 22:39:39

It all makes perfect sense to me! grin

Ana Sat 29-Oct-16 22:40:29

It's like a cryptic crossword...
