Cooking smells

I cooked salmon for lunch with a friend today. I lit the Price's cook's candle in the kitchen before starting and lit a lavender candle in the lounge.

I apologised for any fishy smell, but she assured me she couldn't smell fish!

I keep a small container with bicarb in the fridge and transfer it to the microwave for a while when the cooking ends,then back to the fridge. (N.B. not with the micro on.)

I don't think salmon has an unpleasant smell when cooking, for some reason.
The worst is fried fish Best to fry it in a deep fryer outside.

The smell of wet dogs and DH's socks mask all cooking odours. I'm very lucky.

I need to borrow a wet dog but not your DH's socks!

(We had the kippers today)
The extractor fan was on for hours!
