Can I still wear jeans at 70

Luckily I don't care if someone else thinks I don't look good in my jeans .

I dress for myself

M&S straight leg jeans seem to stretch as you wear them. If you think they're too tight when you put them on after washing, by the end of the day they feel comfy!

Bella Bootleg are wider at the bottom, they become wider around calf area & seem to visually balance the bum/tum area
They are good for wearing with ankle boots (which I love) they IMO also look nice with trouser shoes.
If I'm wearing shoes that you can see the top of your foot I like that bootleg covers it over

If could wear ballet pumps I would wear straight or skinny Jean (a la Greece style)

I mostly wear M&S jeggings in various colours. I buy a size larger so they are not too tight and are very comfy. I also have jeans from Country Casuals but unfortunately they have closed down so back to M&S. I tried M&S straight leg jeans but they are hard and not stretchy. If you are worried about being too old to wear jeans, the coloured ones are better I think. I've not found any that fit in other shops.

Slightly larger at the bottoms than straight leg ones but with a slimmish leg, indeed to fit over short boots.

Can someone p,ease explain what bootleg jeans are? I have seen them. Presumably for wearing under knee length boots? I don't have any hence don't buy them..

I am 53 and live in my jeans I only own one pair of trousers I call my funeral trousers. My neighbour who sadly recently passed away was 93 and all she owned were jeans and she looked fab. I am only a size 8 so can get away with skinny jeans but I much prefer the bootcut type. The problem I have is getting some in my size most shops seem to start at a size 10. So I say go for it wear what ever jeans you are most comfortable in.

If jeans suit you I can't see the problem. Personally I don't like skinny jeans at all, but better on the young. Definitely not on men. I've seen them on a few men and they look terrible, very effeminate. I don't like skinny jeans either. I prefer boot cut jeans.

Can you still get into them? If yes, then wear them :-)

I see a lot of people not looking good in jeans - but it is not age related!
Anyway the great thing about aging is no longer caring what others think!

Bijou & varian age is a number not a fashion statement. You have offered a valid opinion but for most of us we know by now what suits us and what we feel comfortable wearing. Don't let age be a barrier to anything if you can help it.

Sorry, jeans wearers, I should have said I have never seen anyone over fifty wearing jeans and looking good, men or women, even very skinny folk. It does not mean that you personally are not one of the very few exceptions to the rule, but obviously I've never noticed you. Sorry.

Wear what you like over 50yrs - sad that you have to be stereotyped into an 'over 50s look'.

I really don't care varian - I feel good in them. You can dress them up and down. Shape matters but age doesn't. People generally wear the type that suits them - same with a top.
