I usually visit my DH's grave once a week, the grave next to it is rarely visited but does have two bushes planted on it. One of the bushes has gotten so big it has grown across the space between the graves and today my arms and legs were badly scratched as I tried to clean that side of my DH's grave. I cut back the overhanging branches (but not the height - it is now around 5ft). I appreciate many people cannot or don't want to visit a grave as frequently as I do but if that is the case why plant something which will grow to such a size? I cut it back because I was annoyed but am now feeling guilty that I have done so to a plant which may have meant something to the person buried there.
