That's what I thought when I first heard. BUT, my 15 year old grandson, who knows everything there is to know about Dr Who, says it's fine and can quote you reasons why. And his 12 year old sister wants to play the Doctor when she gets older.
I will give it a try. I have watched since episode 1 so it would be a bit naff to give up now.

By this time DH was in the bathroom and just laughed when I commented on the different ads until he came back into the bedroom and found it to be true. Anyone else noticed this? Our radios were only about 6'6" apart - as if that would have anything to do with it!
