Thought I was losing it!

My alarm went off as usual at a fairly low volume so DH turned up his own radio to hear better a piece of music. We both have identical radios set on the same station so why is it that later on when the ads came on they were completely different? It was really weird and like listening to gobbledygook.confused By this time DH was in the bathroom and just laughed when I commented on the different ads until he came back into the bedroom and found it to be true. Anyone else noticed this? Our radios were only about 6'6" apart - as if that would have anything to do with it!

I've never come across that ...how odd. Is your bedroom the centre of a time vortex which affects the radios?

It happens here too if I put the radio on in the conservatory and the one in the kitchen on the same station they are slightly different in time. DH has explained it to me but I don't understand. Doesn't happen with the Sonos.

Our TV in the kitchen - plugged into an aerial is usually miles ahead of the TV (via sky) in the upstairs lounge. Disconcerting as the stairs come down outside the kitchen door so we seem to get an echo!

We had a similar siruation as Kitty says in our last house with a sort of time slip but this time it was really weird and not just slightly out of cinque.They were completely different adverts all through the advert break. Àt one point mine had a man extolling the virtues of something or other whilst DH had a woman speaking. DH said he wouldn't have believed it if he hadn't heard it - which doesn't say much for me really does it?!

DAB radios have a delay of up to 10 seconds on the ordinary type of radio.
And as to the ads, well that can happen here too. My radio is tuned to BBC Somerset, but at least half the time it is broadcasting Radio Bristol. You get the same programmes, but the travel and fillers are different. So just check what frequency your two radios are actually set to.

There is a time/space rift in Cardiff. That's why Torchwood is based there and a certain doctor who should NEVER regenerate as a female often ends up there. grin

That's what I thought when I first heard. BUT, my 15 year old grandson, who knows everything there is to know about Dr Who, says it's fine and can quote you reasons why. And his 12 year old sister wants to play the Doctor when she gets older.
I will give it a try. I have watched since episode 1 so it would be a bit naff to give up now. smile
