I came second to my 8 year old GS in a board game the other day and he said "You did really well for a Grandma" - I think he was trying to be kind, but it did come across as a trifle patronising!

We had Bertie and Persie today. I was telling Bertie that something was my fault, not his, when Persie kindly told me, 'its OK, ma, you're quite old so you're not very clever!' confused
