Forget brexit, the falling pound, the storm coming in this weekend.

Our council has decided to close a community hall just outside town and our town band uses a room there for storage and rehearsals, appeals are going out but it doesn't look hopeful for a freebie room. Sob

Such a shame, Anniebach. What reason, if any, have they given for deciding to close it? These places are so important for a community, but if it is rarely used then they have probably decided to close it for cost cutting measures. Still very sad and possibly mis guided. Can you ( collectively) put forward an objection, with a list of valid reasons why it should remain open?

They had to close it, the village is not the community it use to be, holiday homes etc, and it was for the village community not our beloved town band who were allowed the use of a spare room free. We in the town love our town band, gosh they have been part of the town for several generations same as our men's choir. Surely a room is available somewhere .
