Oh my life!

DD said yesterday as we were walking through the Christmas decorations at Ikea that there is a house in the next road to them that already has the window decorated! Ridiculous!

Yes I've seen a decorated Christmas tree - sparkling lights - the works ..... looks very festive - but it is only October isn't it? Help! grin

We have several houses in our road decorated but it's for Diwali not Christmas.

I'd have C..........s tree and decorations up all year. I love C........s! I feel really sad when it's all over ?????

Teetime Fri 20-Oct-17 17:06:39

Oh dear - its Halloween first here so lots of that around.

ninathenana Fri 20-Oct-17 17:17:00

That's just wrong !

It's Diwali.

Someone in our street has one in the front window that they forgot to take out last Christmas. It's a Santa so not for Diwali.

Katek Fri 20-Oct-17 17:56:59

The one I saw was a small wooden C.....s tree with M...y C.......s written on it. Def not for Diwali.

Oh No! I bought a signed book at a reading today and had it signed for the person I bought it for. Its to be a C present because I find myself morphing into my grannies and mother in buying gifts from September onwards if I feel they're so right for a particular loved one. Having said that - I so don't want C as the focus of shopping from half term onwards. Late November would be acceptable or even early December.

NotTooOld Fri 20-Oct-17 22:32:20

The first week of December is plenty soon enough to start doing anything C.............y. Having said that, I have already written my cards but I'm keeping quiet about it!

BBbevan Sat 21-Oct-17 19:09:49

Shhhhhh ! I'm doing my cards tomorrow ??

Deedaa Sat 21-Oct-17 20:45:57

I'm afraid I have made half a dozen mince pies and put them in the freezer, but it was only because I had some pastry left over and I've got a meeting I shall need some for so I need to start stocking up.

It would have been my mother's birthday yesterday and she always insisted that her card were written on that day. She was very old by then.
My own are written about Dec 12/ 15th, plenty early enough.
My tree will go up about 18/20th as I get fed up but will admit I love it and feel very happy when it is up and lit.
