NotTooOld I love 4 o'clockish, when I can sit in our sun room with a mug of tea and something to read. I don't manage it every day and I notice my dogs looking at me at around that time, no doubt thinking, "Is she? Isn't she?" When I do, they scamper in after me and jump up on the sofa alongside me. On really good days I can stay to watch the beautiful sunsets through the windows.
I quite like around 7pm, dinner is over and we settle down for the evening, a couple of dramas, sudoko, For a while, until RLS visits.
I definitely don't like bed time as I suffer dreadfully from restless legs and insomnia and often only fall asleep at about 5am. I also never have a lie in i.e. in the twilight bliss of being half asleep because when I waken, I really waken, ping.... wide awake and within 5 minutes the RLS will start to kick in again, so up I get.
The first couple of hours of the day are the best for me. I wake naturally in time to get up at 5am when I have a soak and read in the bath before my daily walk.
The three mornings a week when my DH brings me coffee up to bed before he leaves for work and I drink it in peace while I think over whats happening that day. After many years of being up first and never getting a lie in this is such a luxury.
I'm with you Greyduster love that time of peaceful reading with no distractions. I also enjoy my first cup of coffee in the morning after walking the dogs.
Bedtime, on any day of the week. I have half a hour of perfect quiet to wind down with a book before I go to sleep. Can’t concentrate when DH is wittering and the tv is going.
I like the dark winter evenings when I can settle down with my knitting,a good book ,crosswords,my tablet and the television. However this would not be my favourite time if I lived alone.
Bed time on a school night but otherwise a Saturday morning, when I wake up and remember that I don't have to come to this god awful place today. Heaven.
As I have grandchildren every day after school until they are collected by Dad at 6.15pm......my absolute favourite is 6.25pm. DH and I heave a sigh of relief that we coped again and head for supper and a glass of something nice!
