Just come back from the hospital where they ask you to strip down to bra and pants. I don't wear pants I wear knickers. Apart from the gentlemen here do you wear pants or knickers.smile

Not in my family Bathsheba! It was my gran’s joke so not original but who cares?

Smithy Tue 05-Dec-17 18:55:56

Knickers - unless I say "winter draws on"

Welshwife Tue 05-Dec-17 18:55:40

My Aussie friend and her family call them - duds - which my DC thought was hilarious when they initially heard it but then took it on board for the name they used.

NannyTee Tue 05-Dec-17 18:47:19

So is a knickerbockerglory rude too ??

ElaineI Tue 05-Dec-17 18:35:17

Pants - pants instead of trousers on men is an American import. Knickers to our family is a rude word!

Kittye Tue 05-Dec-17 18:34:37

Knickers!tchgrin

Shirleyw Tue 05-Dec-17 18:16:55

Knickers ........or drawers ?....can't abide the word 'pants'.

Day6 Tue 05-Dec-17 18:00:11

Knickers. I loathe the word 'panties'. It sounds so sleazy.

Love the Harvest Festival knickers!! grin I go for comfort over style in most things now, especially underwear and shoes.

Pants pants pants! Knickers are fancy things with frills. I'm a no frills sort of person.

Bathsheba Tue 05-Dec-17 17:44:13

Because it 'goes under' the bed...

Bathsheba Tue 05-Dec-17 17:43:45

I've always understood that a gazunder is a chamber pot, not an undergarment confused

MissAdventure Tue 05-Dec-17 17:30:50

Undercrackers..

mollie Tue 05-Dec-17 17:27:32

If I mention them at all they get referred to as ‘guzunders’. I know, I’m too coy !

lemongrove Tue 05-Dec-17 17:22:46

Smalls? Unmentionables? tchgrin

NannyTee Tue 05-Dec-17 17:12:14

GranEd Tue 05-Dec-17 16:10:21

SueDonim Tue 05-Dec-17 15:50:25

Bloomers. And not the loaf of bread variety. grin

Scribbles Tue 05-Dec-17 15:12:45

I was born confused. I keep my pants in my knicker drawer ...confused

NannyTee Tue 05-Dec-17 15:04:12

Yes I say pants when I drop something haha ( not me Klickers mind ) like a glass or something

NannyTee Tue 05-Dec-17 15:01:23

I do sometimes just say underwear these days though .

Parsleywin Tue 05-Dec-17 15:00:34

Pants, tho I probably don't have cause to say it out loud very often! The word does sound a bit, well, pants. I wish there was a nicer one, without the connotations of the existing alternatives.

NannyTee Tue 05-Dec-17 14:59:36

No it's just whoever wherever as far as I know MissAdventure.

Coolgran65 Tue 05-Dec-17 14:53:58
