Just popping in to say Merry Christmas to Soop and all the lovely kitcheners.
Wrong side driving social media stunt
Here we are again
Happy as can be
All good friends and jolly good company.
Never mind the weather
Never mind the rain
As long as we're together -
Woops we go again.
WELCOME!

Just popping in to say Merry Christmas to Soop and all the lovely kitcheners.
In bed now and trying to go to sleep so Father Christmas will come!!
A very Happy Christmas to you all.
N&G I do hope that the two elves will be pleased with the gifts that Father Christmas will have delivered in a few hours time. They look so happy but there again, they always do.
A Happy Christmas to all from me also.
Just nipping in to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas, whether you’re home or away, with family or not, feeling blessed or with a tear in your eye. As we used to say when I was a wee girl in Scotland, I “hope Santa is good to you!”
Today was meant to be a quiet relaxing day but has been quite busy. Went to church first thing and said a few prayers for those (GN and others) who are having difficult times at the moment then lots of present wrapping etc and phone calls to make and the day just flew by.
Thought I'd better pop into the kitchen tonight to wish all the soopers a peaceful and happy Christmas. Hope you all enjoy yourselves and hope those who aren't going to have the Christmas they hoped for to have the companiship of loved ones to ease their pain. God bless x
Well thats it, ham cooked ready to take to DDs tomorrow morning along with pud and brandy butter plus presents. Wishing everyone in the kitchen a merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year. Thinking particularly if those who have suffered bereavement or ill health either themselves or in their nearest and dearest and hoping that tomorrow won't be too difficult for them.
What lovely Christmas wishes Crafting . I couldn't add anything better. I hope you all have a very Happy Christmas.
Quick dash to wish everyone the best Christmas it can be. Love to all.
Just here to wish Soop, MacSporran and all who visit Soop`s kitchen, a very Happy Christmas xxx
Merry Christmas to everyone and a Happy New Year!
Not cooking today but I woke up early anyway. This is when I am usually stuffing the turkey!
?
Sorry haven't been here for a while, but Happy Christmas to all.
I've had a hell of a year but hoping the next will be better.
Have a virtual
on me.....
Just popped in while I’m psyching myself up to get out of bed!!
Merry Christmas everyone
! I looked out of bed at six o’clock and the only lights on in the road were the family across the road who have two small boys! Nellie poor little man! I remember the same happening with GS when he was a tot. They seem to get over it pretty quickly at that age, but he won’t look his usual gorgeous self for a bit. Well, here goes! I’m getting up!! Happy day everyone!
Good morning all.
I wish you all everything you would wish for yourselves.
It was lovely this morning to wake up to all the greetings on the threads this morning, I felt very blessed indeed.
I'm not a regular kitchen visitor but I just wanted to poke my head around the door and wish everyone a very Happy Christmas. I do hope that everyone enjoys their day and gets at least some of their wishes granted but preferably all!
N&G The photo of the two elves is a perfect way to start the day. Brilliant! Lots of love and laughter to you all.
Marydoll and Chewbacca I plumped the best cushions just for you. You've a tartan one each. Make yourselves comfy and stay awhile. I too hope that Santa is good to you. Although the one that Marydoll tried to bag and keep all for herself seemed rather flummoxed. Didn't know whether he was comin' or goin'...poor chap, it appeared that he preferred to run amok with the Bank of Scotland staff. Us lot were far too frisky. All very iffy.
granniequeenie and Crafting your messages are perfect. Well said. Wise words. We're listening to Jimmy Shand and all the catchy Scottish tunes that we both wish we were able to dance to without falling on our backsides. Woo hoo! Yay!
grannysyb Have yourself a very merry Christmas. I'm rather partial to brandy butter. Were you generous with the spirit?
NellieM Poor little chap. That bruise will certainly look a lot more dramatic by mid week. I guess that you'll need to offer lots of tender loving care.
corner and callgirl1 and many, many good wishes from me to you.
JaneD3 We're not having turkey. Far too much for the two of us. Instead, we bought a free range, corn fed, Scottish chicken.
We're playing Scottish music. All very lively. Talk to family on the phone this afternoon. Not a bad day, weather-wise. Lovely misty view of the islands.
Lovely to hear from you AlieOxon. Please call in more often after the hols. You know that we're here to share each other's pleasures/disappointments/triumphs/disasters.
annsixty You are foremost in my thoughts. I wish you peace and delight in equal measure.
Greyduster have yourself a very happy day.
A special thought for Maw and AnnieBach and all our Granspals for whom this Christmas will feel very different.
soop that is taking me back a few years if you are playing Jimmy Shand and his band!
The day here is dull and miserable. My electric oven packed up on Wednesday so I had to re- think food, not only today's meal. Luckily the duck legs I had bought were frozen so I will have them when my new oven is fitted sometime early January. Thank goodness the hob and microwave are working- I certainly will not starve.
I also have Maw and AnnieBach in my thoughts. A very difficult time of year.
Charleyg Yes, indeed, the video box set was filmed a number of years ago in 1994. It was the Jimmy Shand junior band. Jimmy senior also played.
We managed a stately waltz around the sitting room. MacSporran wearing his blue and white chef's apron. All very gentile. You know me...such a lady when the mood takes me.
Happy Christmas to the Kitchen . Jim has had his Christmas dinner and we will move next door for mine
he can join in when we get to the pud , plenty of people to help push his huge chair into DDs sitting room xxx
Aggie
Our lunch was simple, delicious and stress free. It's a day that I cannot say I look forward to, simply because I would love a few hours with family. However, we have been happy and the enclosed photo of you-know-who has lit up our sitting room.
I'm hoping that all our Granspals have enjoyed this day in their own way. We did raise a glass of sparkling wine to you all. The best gift of all, would be good, or better health.
I shall return tomorrow. The only reason for missing a visit, would be loss of internet. So far, so good. I wish you all a very pleasant evening. For some it will be less than peaceful but...tomorrow is another day. With the dawn, hope springs anew. Don't you think that's a poetic turn of phrase?

Just popping in to wish all Soopers a Very Happy Christmas. I composed a long post first thing this morning but then the hotel wifi went down. We are staying in a hotel in the wilds of Northumberland with our DD and her lovely husband and granddogs. It's been pouring with rain all day so we've had to stay in and eat and eat and - don't think I can face the 'sumptuous evening buffet' in an hour's time.
We had a walk to the village church last night and spotted this cat making itself comfortable in the crib.
Love to you all especially Grans who are having a difficult time just now.
