I hate GF bread, but as there’s no alternative..........

Takes 24 hours with me. Hope you’re OK kitty, you don’t need anything else to be upset, your eye is enough. GF bread really doesn’t taste like bread. The granddaughters tried some of mine once, they were clear any more would be child abuse tchgrin.

I think we must all react differently.

If I ate a mouthful my gut reacts immediately and is sooo painful, so I always know right away if I’ve eaten gluten.

Hope you are OK kitty, DD would be violently ill if she ate a wheat bread roll.

I usually know within two hours or even less with bread.

Fingers crossed, kitty

Seriously, were there any negative effects from eating the non GF rolls? If not, then looks like the shopper who misplaced the rolls did you a big favour and you can eat non GF foods!

OK sorry had to google GF. Hope there were no unpleasant repercussions for you.

Hope you're feeling OK, kitty. It's not nice being 'glutened' by mistake.

Gf bread - there's a huge difference!

starbird Sat 16-Dec-17 15:22:55

What would they be if not real bread?

kittylester Sat 16-Dec-17 15:12:07

Shopping in Sainsbury's last week, I spotted some really nice looking rolls in their GF fresh bread section. Bought them and was absolutely delighted that they tasted like real bread.

I decided to have another one at lunch time and went to check the use by date, only to realise that they tasted like real bread because that's what they were!

I suspect a customer had just put them back back there through laziness or by mistake.
