Favourite film ever.

I`ve enjoyed many films, can`t pick just one. I`ve loved all the Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals, and some brilliant black and white movies, among them
Dark Victory with Bette Davis,
I`ll Cry Tomorrow, Susan Hayward,
Imitation of Life, Lana Turner, a real tearjerker.

* A Man and A Woman (original one in French).
* Anything directed by Frank Capra and starring Jimmy Stewart.
* The Matchmaker.
* Waking Ned Devine.
...so many more...

Oh, and Dude, Where's My Car. Silly but hey ho!

The Shawshank Redemption and all the musicals.

'Singing in the Rain' and 'High Society'
Or really anything with either Gene Kelly, Bing Crosby or Frank Sinatra

I love Sense and Sensibility (the Emma Thompson one) too.
And Grease
And Pretty Woman

And 'The Green Mile'. That's a lovely, sad, happy film.

Some like it hot, with Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. I know every scene and laugh from beginning to end.

I agree Kitty West Side Story, the original, could not be bettered. I can hear that whistle and the intro to the film as if it was yesterday. I know all the words to the songs too. I tried to do my hair like Natalie Wood, but was never very successful.

I love 'Educating Rita' too. and the one with the woman that goes off to Greece - Pauline Somebody.

I watched a film called Madame X when I was about thirteen, it was the B movie alongside one of the James Bond blockbusters. I can remember nothing about the Bond film, but for some reason I can still tell you almost every detail of Madame X, it had a profound effect on me. It was a film about betrayal and reconciliation, love and loathing, and about mothers and their children.

I loved Camelot

Camelot with Vanessa Redgrave and Richard Harris. I fell for the whole idea of a "Camelot" .
