My mother-in-law called in today and got me thinking; she said no-one could ever guess much about me from the friends I keep as they are all so very different. Her friends are mostly like her with similar socio-economic backgrounds and lifestyles - whereas mine are all chalk and cheese. I have some very longstanding friendships, but also make new friends fairly often. If you put them in a room together you would be hard put to work out what they have in common.
Are you and your friends cut from the same cloth? Do you have friends 'like you'? Older? Younger? Different race/religion/culture? How do you cope with significant differences?
