I'm thinking of starting a Government Petition to reduce the abortion time limit from 24 weeks to 10, and am researching what amount of support I could expect.
I became interested in the subject recently (not knowing much about abortion) when I came across the statistics for abortion in the UK. Since 1967, when the Abortion Act was first introduced, nine-million abortions have been carried out. That's 180,000, per year - equating to 493 per day!
Now, I'm not an anti-abortion fanatic, and I realise that some abortions are necessary for medical or other reasons, but when I delved a little deeper into the subject, I was horrified by the circumstances of late abortions.
Please take a look at my blog (Abortion - 50 Years On) - lynwaites.wixsite.com/writer-poet
I would appreciate your views. Would you consider signing the Petition?
Many thanks for your help.
