What's your vice?

Was talking to DH earlier about vices - that one thing we really know we shouldn't do/eat/drink but still do anyway - and it got me thinking about what mine is.

I eat healthy, have never smoked, try to have gentle daily exercise but I can't resist diet coke. I must drink about two cans a day! Oh, and a nice glass of chilled white wine at the weekends.

What are your vices?

This is my first time starting a discussion so I do hope I've posted this in the right place! smile

Italian ice cream was the one thing I could not avoid and it was bought by the large tub and very much enjoyed!

Suddenly finding myself seriously ill in Hospital and learning fat was one of the main culprits for causing my problem..........I immediately cut this treat out..(and most fats)........and would you believe in about 4 months I had lost over 3 stone.
I am sure the Ice cream supplier has gone bankrupt!!

Cheese and Marmite loaf which is sold in the local bakery on Saturdays. Delicious sliced into doorsteps and toasted! Spread with real butter of course.

I note you say “what are your vices” in the plural! Reading, reading and more reading. Crisps, only a certain brand and flavour. Then chatting, chatting and more chatting! Lots of plurals there. ???. Those are the only ones I own up to ......

I have a new favourite as of this afternoon. Co-op unicorn ice cream cones. Just what I needed on this 34 degree afternoon. I shall be stocking up for the summer. There were dozens of boxes in the shop freezer, they are obviously expecting them to sell well. My unicorn-loving GD would like them, but can't see the GSs being interested! I just like the taste.

A glass of wine. I don't like chocolate, sweets or crisps.

Is wine a vice? Surely it is one of your ‘five a day’

nanaK54 Thu 19-Apr-18 16:32:12

Cheese and Flapjacks (not together grin)

DanniRae Thu 19-Apr-18 16:33:24

I love sweet and salty pop corn - I open a large bag and diligently empty half into a bowl. Seal up the rest for another day. Go into the living room - eat my bowl of popcorn - and then think "Oh, s*d it I'm going to eat the rest of the bag!" blush

harrigran Thu 19-Apr-18 16:34:03

A nice chilled white wine or a Magnum - currently the almond one and it has to be Magnum - no other variety is as nice.
