Charleyg Message received and fully understood.
Doodle
I cannot share with you. Sorry. Just after lunch MacSporran suggested that the choc covered Turkish Delights looked out of place. Without a word of a lie - I tried to resist. Thing is, the temptation has been dealt with in a right and proper way. The fridge has only good, wholesome stuff in it.
Morning all !!
Cooper is my one grandchild Anno that has hand eye coordination and loves a ball of any description so you may well be right ! BUT he has a penchant for using anything bat shaped like a hammer on other surfaces ( and on occasion people) so watch this space LOL
Sam's bandana has purpose Charley he is a bit of a dribbler in hot weather so we use it to mop him up , or soak it in water to cool him down. Even though he's had his summer haircut he has a strange double coat so he's always a bit warm I think.
Oh Kitty , your garage sounds like ours before we moved ! Of course after our massive declutter its nice and tidy now but we found some very strange things in there for sure !! Good luck with that ( and the exploding cat lol)
Hope you're feeling better this morning soop ?
Beautiful pictures here , it seems like we find some 'soul food' in so many things and live in such gloriously beautiful places , lucky old things!
Glad to hear the pains improved Charley are you feeling a general improvement now after your surgery?
If you're coming down this wayGrannie let me know and Ill tell you where my secret fields of poppies are lol
I like the name Wolfgang Kitty , and Persephone too for that matter. I can see Wolfie , joining Persie and Bertie !!
You'll all be pleased to know the replacement lawnmower behaved beautifully and now our lawns are looking good. We are starting now on all the little jobs round the place , for my part I did the HUGE job of catching up on the ironing !!
Our eldest daughter and the 2 big kids will be surprising Grampy on Saturday for Fathers Day so I am trying to work out how to get in the necessary groceries without alerting him ……. hmmmmmm.
Anyway, time and tide and all that ….Happy days all xx
kitty I have a friend whose GS is ‘Wolf’. Seems it is acceptable for either sex! Can’t understand why not ‘Vixen’ if female! Seemingly younger folk think it’s ‘so cool’ whereas us more seasoned folk react with ‘Oh’, ‘Really’, ‘How unusual’
. Baby will be loved whatever the name. X
It's lovely to hear your latest news, Nana. Grampy is in for a mighty big treat this coming weekend. I trust that he's feeling a whole lot better.
Good to know that the new mower is tip top. I too have a large heap of ironing to do (my own) and as we'll be out for a few hours tomorrow I expect that I should show willing and use up all those extra calories I've treated myself to today.
The wind is less ferocious than it was earlier today. The sun is shining and the islands have lost the low lying cloud. There may be a suitable sunset to photograph this evening.
My love to you all. Take good care of yourselves.

mrshat
I agree.
So glad our nagging has resulted
in your partaking of some nourishing food Charley....... you need it to fight the demons that make life difficult when not well and recovering.Sleep too equally essential.
I shall now quit nagging!!!
Have been well acquainted with the McCarthy & Stone Apartment Complexes by the way, almost purchasing one some time ago in a delightful spot here on our coast.............so I was aware of the pros and cons to some degree prior to reading all the accounts of your testing.
However one can never be too careful and it is vital to have this feedback.............so gee thanks.
The sun has his hat on,(I hear a jingle coming on!............) and wearing it in a very jaunty angle!!! ..........summer has returned and we are smiling again!!
Enjoy your evening folks...........I am still awaiting this pavlova Maybelle promised.........that has had me dribbling in a rather unladylike fashion!!!....
........ it will have to do!!
Afternoon all. Firstly, I’m delighted to hear about your lunch charley, nagging is on hold. Sounds as if a huge corner has been turned.
Well, the NT property won over the shops and was blessedly sheltered from the wind. I’ll attach a couple of flower photos if I can. I’m trying not to see the decapitated roses in our garden, still blowing here, supposed to calm down overnight.
Sounds as if you’ve done your homework panache, fingers will be firmly crossed here for your viewing on Saturday.
Sounds an exciting day ahead on Sunday n&g, not sure how you get the food shop past Grampy though. Mr C will be with both of ours on Sunday, the first time he’s been with them both on Fathers Day for over 10 years, he’s delighted.
I don’t like Turkish Delight soop, so they were found in the right fridge, would have found their way to the bin here as neither of us are keen. Sacrilege I hear you say.
Hope your day has been fun kitty, looking forward to hearing how it went.
Right, need to clear away before this weeks food delivery arrives. I’m not a bit sure what we do with all the food, you’d think we were feeding the whole street.
Take care everyone.
A certain respected Kitchener and I had a lovely day in Manchester today. A quick bite at the Royal Exchange where we saw Maxine Peake in Happy Days- an amazing performance in a very thought provoking and gripping play.
I am glad to say that DD’s set was very effective and has had good reviews in its own right!
Anyway a little wander round followed then a pizza and a glass of
to continue the chatting before heading back to our respective trains at Piccadilly.
Must do this again
Oh blimey, Maw, does my head really look that big?
Yes, it was a great day out and a remarkable performance by Maxine Peake who held our attention from first to last. Manchester was kind to us today. We had been led to expect a storm but got no more than a brisk breeze and no rain. So I was glad I had taken the risk of not wearing my wellies, albeit a brolly was concealed in the bottom of my bag.
An enjoyable day and great company.
Wish I could have joined my fellow St Andreans on their jaunt! Sounds just my cup of tea (or tipple of choice). Pleased to hear you had such a lovely day!
Oh Kitcheners, I have had such a nice day, walked Hattie up to the churchyard like I do most days to tell Paw what I have been doing. But now just can’t stop the tears.
When oh when does it (ever) stop hurting?

oh, maw, I’m so sorry, I can’t find words to help so am sending love and a big hug. Hope you can rest and sleep.
Maw, you are doing really well but I suspect it never stops hurting but the hurting just gets a bit easier to cope with as time goes on.
Glad you and anno had a good day, I expect you were very tired and that would have added to your sadness.
Take it easy today.
I'd just like to mention that I love Turkish Delight! And pavlova!
Does that make him an Italian greyhound?
?
Morning all !
That dog has no shame Grannysyb LOL
Sorry your lovely day ended in tears Maw , its early days and if crying is how you feel then you should cry - but I imagine Paw sitting up there shaking his head. Its not how he wants you to feel and maybe time will help you remember the good memories without being so sad. Sending you a hug xx
Love the flowers Corner - hope Mr C enjoys his day with everyone. I know Grampy loves that sort of thing.
I LOVE Turkish Delight soop so I think you were very good to only eat one …...to start with LOL!!!
Sounds like you're getting your appetite back Charley which is good to hear!!
Garden centre visit today ! Grampy treated me to some containers that hang on the fence and we need something trailing to go in them. Because our holiday got in the way , we're struggling plant wise and we missed the first flurry of bedding plants so I'm hoping the garden centre comes up trumps.
Got a picture of the little boys this morning , their pre school and school have gone green for Grenfell today so thought I would share.
Happy days all xx
PS Please note Jacksons new hat !! He is very proud of it !
Good morning all, exciting day ahead, meeting Dd and Sil for 1st look at prams and all things tiny for baby. Have held off doing this until now but she has just passed the 1st 3 months.
Baby is rather a surprise to us all. Many years of hoping and 2 cycles of IVF with no joy, stopped hoping and then got pregnant !
Cool hat!
Will try not to go on in depressing mode, but it’s actually more than sad. It’s like walking without one leg (OK I know that’s called hopping
) or trying to cope with all your usual activities with only one arm, just that constant nagging pain. Plus “survivor guilt” that losing him has made all these trips possible
Anyway, enough already.
It’s a lovely sunny morning and a
on the patio calls
Maybelle that is such lovely news, but try to go easy on the shopping, your plastic has another 6 months to go and then trust me, it will go into overdrive
Have been looking for plants to hang off a fence. Let me know what you decide on as I have no idea what to aim for nana nanaandgrampy
Not sure yet how to use names in messages, do i use your full name as written or just the part that applies to you ie nana?
Jackson's hat very dashing
I totally get where you’re coming from Maw but only from the perspective of someone who hasn’t trodden that path . I think a better word might be sorrow , that all encompassing loss . I’m not sure you ever get past that just learning to live with it maybe but only in time .
Maybelle exciting times !!!! To highlight a name type * then the name no gaps, then * again !! Good luck !
I’ll let you know what I find at the garden centre :-)
Thank you N&G everybody is so kind and I must not be a moaning Minnie
We call her N&G and she doesn't seem to mind.?
Welcome Maybelle I am usually a regular but rather irregular at the moment.
As Arnie said I will be back.
