Anyone else finding their summer duvet far too hot?

we usually have cotton bedding but this year my OH has insisted on keeping the fleece stuff I bought before Christmas .Thank heavens I got two sets! Although its very soft longish fleece it never seems to get too warm and yet its brilliant in the winter .OH hates cold sheets ..thats the reason I bought this stuff and I was dubious about the claims that it wouldn't be too hot in even the hottest weather but it somehow works and even with my night sweats it appears to wick the dampness away .
Its miracle bedding and I will be buying more .

My summer duvet is 2:5

I m still sleeping under my normal duvet I don’t have winter and summer but in winter I have two duvets on
I don’t find it hot at night I must have a different body temperature to everyone else
I m like Redtops husband still tucked down with duvet over my head ?

A 4.5 tog is our winter one! I get tangled up in just a sheet so I have machined a 1 tog duvet into a duvet cover. I hate changing covers so the whole lot goes in the washing machine and dries really quickly. We also have a light weight quilted cotton bedspread which we use if the makeshift one doesn’t dry quickly enough for bedtime.

We have a summer weight duvet-4.5-but have been sleeping with empty duvet cover and a lightweight blanket over the top which we can pull up or down as needed.
OP said gets up, goes back to bed and straight back to sleep!! How on earth do you do that then? If I wake in the night that's usually it for me I am SO jealous!

I have never had a seasonal duvet change and I don't even know my tog ?
I'm cool tonight though and have put my electric blanket on - there was a cool breeze wafting through the room tonight before I closed the windows. I hate cold sheets whatever the weather.

Not like Winter is it, when everyone puts an extra dog or two on the bed.

Ditched the duvet, flat cotton sheet.

I put a fitted bottom sheet on the bed, then a flat sheet and a summer tog duvet on top. If it is hot when I go to bed I fold the duvet back on itself (length wise) to the middle of the bed and just have the cool sheet covering me. DH is always cold so he stays snuggled up in the sheet and duvet. If I wake up feeling cooler in the night I just flip the duvet back to cover me. Works well for us.

We have a light Summer duvet ( folded back) and a cotton sheet, mainly just using a sheet.The fan is on(and off) as needed, and the window wide open.All makes for a fitful and broken night’s sleeep doesn’t it? No wonder I doze off in the afternoon.

Just a good crisp cotton sheet for us. I sleep with my feet out of the covers all year round too. I would love to have the windows open but noise from the motorway causes a disturbance even though it's a couple of miles away.

We've got a 2.5 tog very light summer duvet and it's fine, haven't resorted to just a sheet yet.

I still have the winter one on but fold it back over the end of the bed and just have a sheet on - I sleep in the buff too so like to have something over me but when I get up in the early hours I pull the quilt back over as it's cooled down. I can't have the window open as it's a patio door out onto a balcony at the front and can't sleep with a fan on. My husband does have his on all night blowing on his head along with his C-pap machine blowing air up his nose

I have the 4.5 tog duvet on all year round. In VERY cold weather, I put a blanket on top. In this heat, I'm just sleeping on top of the bed, with a sheet over me, and every window in the house open.

My summer duvet is only 4.5 tog - perfect. I actually kept it on the bed from last summer, but put my counterpane on top in the winter and it was just right.
Oh, did I mention the electric blanket warmed the bed first?
Right now I'm in a hotel room in the midlands and when we arrived the room was arctic cold - two hours later it's still cold and we switched off the air con as soon as we arrived!

What's with this phone? It doesn't understand tog.

I've folded up my 10.5 together duvet, cover and all, and put it away. I threw another duvet cover on my bed and put the 4.5 together duvet on top. Nobody sees the bedroom but me, so I'm not bothered that it doesn't look pretty.

I have a Fogarty tog 1 quilt which I use in warm weather and which is fine for all but the hottest nights when I just use an empty duvet cover.

I never use more than a 4.5 tog ‘summer’ quilt even during the winter.

Myself and my son have just the duvet covers on our beds (and they are often thrown back), windows and doors open to try and get cool air in.
My OH still has a winter duvet on his, door and windows closed!!!

Bum. I did go to JL but they didn't have the cotton one, only a Hungarian goose down at more than twice the price. Stuff that.

I fold the duvet to the bottom of the bed and just tuck my feet under, with a fan on all night. If it gets a bit chillier I just pull it back over..... but invariably kick it off again later!

I'm sleeping under a sheet with the fan on to keep the bedroom cool while I drop off. Usually I can switch it off it I wake up to use the loo after which I go back to sleep immediately.

Duvet is folded back but then we don't have summer and winter versions. The fan is on all night. One of us might pull the duvet up if we get up at silly o'clock to go to the bathroom.
What about a sheet and thin blanket or do as someone I know does and put the blanket in the duvet cover.

I use a cotton sheet that was hand embroidered by my mother for her 'bottom drawer'. I also leave a fan on all night at the moment.
