All good friends and jolly good company.
Welcome.

soop How grown up is Torben! Our grandchildren are all growing up far too quickly in my opinion! Lovely handsome boy!?
I have been watching Torben grow since I joined around 2012-he is a handsome fellow. I hope he keeps his blond hair.
Thank you for your kind comments. Back to the wars of the wardrobes.
Firstly, heavensjoy so sorry I was so excited to see Lona back in the kitchen that I forgot to welcome you too.
soop ? that can't be Torben! When did he get so grown up? Still incredibly handsome. What a smasher.
Still thinking of Panache. She was so kind to me I do hope things are ok.
GD, it's hard supporting from afar but listening is a skill I'm sure you have.
Good luck with the cake.
Ann, I hope your visit to see DH goes well. It's good that he's happy but I can understand your unhappiness. You WILL enjoy your holiday - it's a rule!
What a smasher Torben is soop. You have a lovely family!
You are right to be a proud Granny anno.
DD1 gave DGS1 a stern talking to about not using his phone on his first day at senior school so was really cross to find a message from him when she checked her phone. She opend it ready to send back a really short sharp reply. It said 'Mum, I'm lost'. Cue a few tears!
kitty Now I'm bleary eyed.
Well, I am putting the computer on "sleep mode". Not logging off. I shall take a peek every so often. You lot know as well as I do, that a short positive message from Mr Panache would be cause for great relief.
Am I right that it’s over a week since we heard about Panache? Perhaps a supportive email might be in order, if only to give Mr.P our support? I admit to not being very good at sitting waiting.
Bon voyage Ann. When do you go?
Torben is a seriously handsome young man soop, you must be very proud.
Oh ann I’m sorry one of life’s trip wires found you today, sending love and a hope that tomorrow is brighter.
Worrying from a distance is so difficult greyd. Our poorly friend (also in Wales) causes similar worries, I think we’ve finally got to a place of realism but it was a hard journey. I do a lot of listening on the phone, very little talking seems to be needed. There will be ways you can support, please try for realism though, we wore ourselves out going back and forth until we understood we should accept our limitations.
Your poor daughter kitty, I hope your grandson found himself quickly.
Good luck with the cake n&g. If anyone can do it you can,
I’m holding back from the chaos a wardrobe clear out brings soop which leaves me seriously envious that yours is accomplished. One day, one day.
My cousin and her husband have been with us today, she's the closest family to a sister, we are both onlies. A lovely nattery day with a good lunch in a local restaurant so no need to be in the kitchen. It’s been a good day, I’m back to counting blessings.
Maybe news of panache tomorrow. Sleep well everyone.
Lots of proud grannies around and quite rightly so. Another one here, our 2 new high schoolers have made a good start. kitty our gd got lost too, She braved it to ask a “big kid” for help fortunately the older child was kind and helpfully pointed her in the right direction. I have to admit her mum and I had a quiet chuckle, neither she nor I are gifted with good navigational skills, we fear poor gd may have inherited the same gene!
Sad to hear about the young man kitty, that poor family, and those who care about them too, have indeed a sad road to tread . greyduster I feel for you too. My sil in Scotland has dementia, so far my bil is coping but with difficulty (he has significant health challenges himself). We feel very sad for them both and know we can do very little from so far away. Fortunately some of their family are close at hand and give a lot of support.
Ann I hope the visit to your dh is a happy one and you can put aside all worries to focus on your holiday.
We’ve been for a sleep over at dd1, to hear all about their holiday and are lunching with dd2 tomorrow for the very same reason. We, that’ll be the royal we, are more or less packed for our own holiday. We’re off early on Monday to Madeira , not sure what WiFi will be available but hope to try to pop in to see if there’s news of panache and maybe post a picture or 2.
Nice to see some new names in the kitchen, looking forward to getting to know you as time goes on. Aware I’ve probably ignored some kitchen pals, no matter how I try I’m always behind with all the happenings here! But nevertheless sending everyone good wishes. Night all xx
Just popped in this morning to wish N&G a very Happy Birthday ????! Get yer feet up, gal, and enjoy it!
Gq have a lovely holiday and look forward to seeing your photos, as always!
Morning All and a very happy birthday to n&g.
There seem to be a lot of holidays about, have fun everyone and please send photos as well as local cake
Busy day ahead, best get cracking.
Many happy returns n&g and happy hols gq.
I had a funny turn (!!!!) yesterday and couldn't stop shivering so, apart from sorting dinner, I'm not doing a lot today - despite dh announcing that 'we'd' better do some more to the garden. I think he was also using the royal we gq because it won't include me. I have serious TV catching up to do!
Making a rare appearance in the kitchen, sorry I don't have cake. I just popped in to see if there was any news of Panache.
Mass exodus of grans as soon as the schools go back and we are relieved of childcare duties, happy holidays.
Happy birthday gq ?
Happy Birthday N&G I confess I missed thatbit of news.
Hope it is a good one.
My visit to my H was very upsetting, I will not elaborate.
I had unexpected overnight visitors, my S. with whom I have only sporadic contact, rang to ask if he and his P and the two boys, 9 and 7 could stay overnight.
It was a chance for me to see the GC so I agreed, they have been a joy.
I now have so much to do for my jolly and we fly at 6:20am!!
Happy birthday N&G. Definitely feet up time today.
Happy birthday also GQ
ann I am certain you will enjoy your holiday- so much that you may not want to return. H will be fine, he appears to be very well looked after and is happy in himself. You must not worry about him, that is an order!
Happy Birthday N&G. Have a great day. kitty, whatever was up with you yesterday, I hope that attack of the shivers is over and that you really are taking it easy today. A similar thing has happened to me twice, but a very long time ago.
ann, you will be well on your way - maybe even in Ibiza - by now. Even if you can't read this, I wish with all my heart that this holiday will give you the rest and relaxation you need and deserve.
Good morning all,
Thank you all for your birthday wishes .
I cannot stay this morning as my daughter arrived unexpectedly yesterday with Laura and Stevie to surprise me for my birthday !!
Best present ever. Back tomorrow with cake :-)
Wishing our dear N&G a birthday packed with pleasant surprises, a whole lot of laughter, and enough cake to share with us lot

Ann up, up and away. You deserve your jolly. Tell us all about it when you return. Please.
granniequeenie Wishing you a wonderful, relaxing holiday.
I am about to send an email to Mr Panache. In it, I shall convey the best wishes from Panache's Gransnet friends. I shall also send him our love.
Thank you for doing that on our behalf Soop.it is so worrying when someone “disappears” off the GN radar.
Happy birthday N&G from the sound of your loving family, I hope they are making a big fuss of you!
That is a nice thought soop
I am practically ready, I had forgotten just what needs doing to go away as it is so long since I have been ( violins please).
I have cleared the fridge, emptied the waste bins, cancelled the newspapers and generally tidied up.
On a personal level , I have defuzzed my legs, showered and shampood and apart from putting the stuff which is on hangers I just have to pack my case.
We are going out for tapas this evening and then the girls are staying here tonight and we will order a taxi for about 4:30am.
I will try to let you know how I am doing if I can, otherwise it will be next weekend.
I do expect you all to behave yourselves while I am away.
I have sent a message to Mr Panache. Should there be a response, I shall share it with you.
My aplogies, happy birthday N&G got distracted when I wrote previous post.
We won't have the opportunity not to behave ann - you on the other hand......

Ann are you sure you don’t need me to come and help out when the youngsters are partying
?
Happy birthday to the birthday girls
ann...have a wonderful time
soop .... thank you for messaging on our behalf.
I have an internet issue. Everything on the hub shows as working but the network isn't appearing, to connect to.
Using mobile data when I have to, but not indulging in browsing, so my apology if posts are limited.
Fingers crossed for Panache.
