Hope you feel better very Soop. Take care.
Formal letters using my first name
will WE learn any thing from the rcent hot weather?
Here we are again
Happy as can be
All good friends and jolly good company.
Welcome.

Hope you feel better very Soop. Take care.
Graanyqueenie I do like Madeira and I remember that boat!
I remember the boat too.
We were joined by a pod of of dolphins who seemed to enjoy it until they got bored and swam off.
As GreyD says, you are indeed a very special peoples Soop, please take care and get well very soon.
Still have buggerations with wifi , so keeping thongs brief.
soop ...you poor thing. I hope MacS is providing lots of TLC. Get well soon.
I am sure I am not alone in feeling very worried by MrP's lack of response
Is there any cake left?
*thongs?????
THINGS!!!!
I love that misprint Chaos, LOL!!!
This place gets more like the Argy every day!
chaos surely thongs are brief. That's the point isn't it ?
I’ve also seen the Madeira boat, brought back a good memory grannyq, enjoy your holiday, you deserve it.
Hope you are properly better kitty. Oh dear soop, that doesn’t sound good. Please rest and recover.
I share the anxiety about panache, can only hope.
Been a busy day here today, far too much heavy gardening, feet up time now. Suspect there will be groans tomorrow. Was it sensible?
. Take care everyone. Will try to get in tomorrow.
Morning all !
Hope you are feeling a little better this morning soop !
I have been watching the news in case Ann has been a 'gran behaving badly' in Ibiza !! So far no news :-)
Please bear with me while I have a grumble about Grampy. In our old house we had a dishwasher. It was fully used. We washed little by hand. Here we have a built in dishwasher which is a little temperamental so Grampy has stopped using it . Instead he washes up and piles things up 3 high on my already cluttered draining board and worksurface.
Bear in mind the front door opens - bizarrely- into my kitchen!
This morning a stiff breeze and everything came crashing down. There are flies in the kitchen ( the penalty for living in the country) and although nothing was broken I declared that was it !!! Its all going in the dishwasher in future.
I wouldn't like to say we had a row but we're not talking :-)
Am I wrong to think IF we have a dishwasher it makes sense to use it????? He wants to replace it with a tumble drier - something I definitely don't want.
That ditch at the bottom of the garden looks more and more Grampy sized every day !!
Please supply me with cake and comfort fellow kitcheners( or give me a swift kick and tell me to man up!!)
I think you may need the leg of lamb ...
Would you like me to give Grampy a stern talking to? Of course if you have a dishwasher you should use it- why have it?
My dishwasher was built in and of course when it broke down it was so difficult to get to the thing so now like everything else, this one is moveable so would be easy to repair.
Just popped in after a marathon iron to see how soop is and if there is news of panache.
Instead I find grampy's life is in peril! and no word from ann - I expect she is hung over!!
Anyway, I'm off to do lunch and then volunteering. Today is a day when we sometimes get tears which is often good for the participants (IYSWIM) but leaves me somewhat wrung out!
Ah, I have a lot of sympathy with that, N&G. I know of a retired Admiral of the Fleet who listed one of his hobbies in Who’s Who as loading the dishwasher. Perhaps he should start a training school! We could sign up Grampy and Mr Duster. Perhaps there would be an ex-services discount! I may just drop him a line!
Am I wrong to think IF we have a dishwasher it makes sense to use it????? He wants to replace it with a tumble drier - something I definitely don't want
With you all the way N&G, plus a tumble drier is rubbish for china or glass
As an infrequent visitor here may I pop my head round the door with a batch of freshly made Ginger biscuits?
Sorry to see some of you have been unwell and I hope too that Panache is ok and good news will be received soon, such a worry. I know she is a very regular poster.
I hope Ann is having a lovely relaxing time on holiday.
Not done a lot today, was going out but chatting to a friend and then Mum on phone and making biscuits the morning has gone....so off to do some ironing.
Hello again everyone! Thank you so much for all your kind remarks, it's nice to be missed
I do try and keep up with all the kitchen news, but there are so many kitcheners now that it does take a while. It isn't always good news in here, but always kindness and friendliness.
kitty I hope you're feeling better now, and soop, make sure you don't get up too soon!
ann60 I hope you are enjoying your holiday, you certainly deserve it. I know how very hard it can be to care for someone and yet be so helpless
Keep your chin up xx
Of course I have brought cake....... a very large lemon drizzle (save some for soop please) and I thought a coffee and walnut might be a nice change too.
Also sending good wishes for Panache.
What a lifesaving group you all are, taking care of each other.
Love Lona xx
Not at all hungover how very dare you.!!!
Cocktails are on tap all day from very attentive barstsff. I have restricted myself to one today .
Food excellent but again I haven't eaten much.
The girls have gone into the town, they are clubbing tonight.
I am on a lounger by the pool and it is very hot.
We have a patio with sunbeds so I will retire there if it gets any hotter as it is in the shade.
Wish.you were all here.
I haven't felt so.relaxed for ages
What a lovely post ann ! Go on enjoying. And why limit yourself to one cocktail? ?
A flying visit. Sorry, no news to report from Mr Panache. MacSporran takes a look at the emails every so often.
Still in bed and feeling like a wrung-out old dishcloth. Awful cough and belly-ache. Nothing life threatening. Just a buggerations that I wish I could recover from in double quick time.
I shall not be well enough to attend our friend's funeral. This makes me feel wretched.
Ann's update has cheered me greatly. Keep on enjoying every single moment, Ann. You deserve it.
Re Panache, it’s now about 9 days since she was due to have seen her consultant. Perhaps she wasn’t able to have the surgery? Is Mr P is just “waiting and seeing”.? Awful time for him. I did drop him a few lines several days ago but I haven’t heard back. Panache herself always said in her emails that she didn’t want to burden people with her own troubles. I wonder if she has said as much to Mr P? I do hope we have some news before too long. I would love Panache to read all our concerned posts and to know how much we all care.
Oh soop, Ive just read your post. How miserable you must feel. I get that b****y cough every year and it’s sooo awful. With the additional tummy problems it must be horrible. I know we are all rooting for you to begin to feel better. x
Soop!
Ann the cocktails are not terribly strong - you could have a few... !
ann so glad you are having a good time you deserve it.
soop so sorry you are feeling poorly. Hope you get better very soon.
