3 Things I wished I liked but don’t.

I wish I liked DIY, mushrooms and swimming. I quite like it once in the water but dislike the shivery changing room and wet chlorine smelling hair. Sea bathing is fine.

Fancy (often rip off) food presentation. Froth and smears of puree on a plate - no, often served on a slate or wooden platter - costing a bomb. Should I be impressed? Am I a philistine? I do have a wry smile and raise an eyebrow on the odd occasion we 'enjoy' fine dining.

The only sort of dancing I like is ballet, and these days definitely not performed by me!

Sorry for the confusion, Bathsheba. I do like the feel of comfy shoes, of course I do! It’s just that I’ve spent most of my adult life wearing heels, and I have a huge collection of beautiful shoes I can no longer wear due to the bunion, and a smaller number of sensible, flat, wide-fitting shoes that my feet love, but I really don’t.

Oh yes airports. I hate them too.
