Free Bleeding - another fad?

Has anyone heard of this idea.
It is that women shouldn't be made to feel in any way uncomfortable about the menstrual flow, and can choose not to wear sanitary protection if they so choose.

I must say, I'm rather enjoying them.
It that wrong?
I am quite surprised how abhorrent people find the idea of a smear of blood on clothing. (Knickers mostly, but I didn't want to say gusset again!)
grin

Not a smear MissA - just the thought of blood and uterine lining dripping on floors, seats, etc etc.

I'm quite easy-going, normally, just go with the flow …..

Go with the flow? grin

?

You revel in these conversations don’t you notanan?

I have mainly responded to questions and comments specifically directed at me, like yours.

But also Gusset is a good robust word.

notanan2 Wed 21-Nov-18 18:42:02

I’m wondering whether you have the same conversations face to face with other people. I somehow doubt it.

Yes if someone asks or brings it up. People usually don't ask or bring it up. Very occasionally people do, and I don't lie if asked my opinion. If you are questioning whether or not it is a polite conversation to start you would be better off directing that question at the OP not at me smile

MissAdventure Wed 21-Nov-18 18:45:22

Well, I was going to say its the kind of conversation I might have with my friends.
Then I realised... I don't have any friends!
Maybe why..

notanan2 Wed 21-Nov-18 18:47:28

also if people pop round unannounced and my washable san pro (and Gussets grin ) are on the washing line I don't scuttle round trying to hide them. I do put them away if I am EXPECTING more formal guests. I don't hide it. Or bring it up.

notanan2 Wed 21-Nov-18 18:49:33

Its actually a non issue to me until people start telling me what I should and shouldnt do with my own pants, and again: that doesnt tend to happen in real life.

MissAdventure Wed 21-Nov-18 18:50:34

I would find that really embarrassing.
Strange, because I can't quite work out why.

Chewbacca Wed 21-Nov-18 19:16:23

Well, I think it will have to be agreed that notanan2 is the best free bleeder on Gransnet. can we talk about something else now

Iam64 Wed 21-Nov-18 19:29:07

possibly not only the best but, the only....

notanan2 Wed 21-Nov-18 19:31:02

I think if you pop round anywhere unannounced you are likely to see bits and bobs (like freshly laundered pants etc on the line) that you might not see if you went on an arranged visit.

I've seen worse on unplanned visits. (Full cat litter trays: bawk)

notanan2 Wed 21-Nov-18 19:32:19

possibly not only the best but, the only.... OP said she has dabbled too, just didn't give it a name. Like a lot of people do.

notanan2 Wed 21-Nov-18 19:35:33

Well, I think it will have to be agreed that notanan2 is the best free bleeder on Gransnet.

Do I get the Golden Gusset prize? grin

notanan2 Wed 21-Nov-18 19:36:06

(Or is that reserved for free incontinence?) wink

Chewbacca Wed 21-Nov-18 19:38:24

No notanan2. No prize.

notanan2 Wed 21-Nov-18 20:16:06

Thats okay. ? a comfy gusset is reward enough.

MissAdventure Wed 21-Nov-18 20:21:41

I think this thread must hold some kind of record for the amount of times the word gusset is used.

Sparklefizz Thu 22-Nov-18 10:52:54

And now we have another thread with "sweaty crotch" mentioned. grin

Who'd have thought we could go from Elton John to gussets in just a few days?? grin

EllanVannin Thu 22-Nov-18 14:58:46

Nobody can say " gusset " like Miranda did in her show.smile
