Mr P always leaves his present wrapping to the last minute, so I was not surprised when he declared the kitchen a " no go zone" after supper this evening.
I had provided a roll of wrapping paper, and left the sticky tape (with the end easily accessible) along with the scissors to try to make things easy for him.
I asked him if he wanted any gift tags, as I had some left over from doing his. He seemed pleased at the offer, so I handed them over.
Now, it may just be me, but I write a little message on the tags, with a sort of obscure hint as to the contents!
For example, a pack of eye wateringly bright socks, has a tag saying "sunglasses may be required".
So, the presents are under the tree, and I looked at the label on the top one to see what it said.
It was blank.
I risked a look at the second one. That too was blank.
Not wishing to upset him, as he's quite a sensitive chap, I asked him, in the gentlest possible way, why the tags were blank.
His response? "Well, you know they are for you, and that they are from me, so I didn't see the point".
Which begs the question, Why put the gift tags on them at all!??????
