Good Morning Monday

Good morning, cool and damp after a beautiful clear night.
Still waiting for plumber to complete repairs in guest bathroom, been out of action for two weeks now.

Good morning all.Dry and dull in North Shropshire today.A busy day ahead taking mum to a solicitors appointment this morning then then a bank appointment this afternoon to sort out her accounts as a very overzealous young man at her bank decided at 86 she should be looking for a higher interest account and internet banking which she definitely doesn’t want.As a result she has no clue what accounts she has or where, caused her so much upset but hopefully we can sort everything for her today.

Good morning from a sunny south east, woke up to a pink streaked sky.

It's my gd's birthday today so will be busy decorating the gluten free birthday cake I made yesterday as she's coming to us after her ten pin bowling party to stay the night. Other than that a bit of shopping for bits and pieces.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all,
Cloudy and cold in Hampshire.
Lots of bits and pieces to do and things to sort out today.
Take care & have a good day all

Good morning All x
Bright and breezy by the sea. Washing on the go so keeping my fingers crossed for a good drying day.

Chicken soup to be prepared for today and some sorting out to do----a mini spring clean. Easier said than done

Hope all is well with everyone.

Greetings all from a bright and sunny Aberdeenshire. Sorry to hear your sad news 1ina. Mick, have you kicked Windows 10 in the wrong place?
Hospital this afternoon to see the kidney wallah to assess the damage done by chemo. Isn't it ironic...treat one problem and you create another. Hey ho, such is life. Have a good day everyone.

Sorry was in wrong place, sleep deprived

Good morning everyone. Very sunny here in Malaga again but there’s a bitingly cold wind this morning - quite icy! DH just come back from the bakery downstairs with fresh crusty bread. Time to make breakfast!

A late good morning to everyone from a mild, sunny East Northants. 1inamillion I am pleased that you worked out how to post and very sorry that you are going through such a sad time.

Pottering, ironing etc. for me today. EllanVannin I so envy you being by the sea. My dearest wish is to walk a dog along the beach in the mornings!

Good Evening One and All! Another lovely sunny day; was 39C tops, but now cooled back to about 32C at 9.40pm. Another 39C tomorrow and maybe also Wednesday if our luck holds out! Loving it! Good for the joints too!
The OZ Open tennis started today. Thousands of specs. turned up; must be mad seeing as how its on free TV all day with cold drinks to hand with A/C on max. at home. Mind you, I don't watch! boring!
Keep warm and Healthy.

Good Morning to Everyone here. I am absolutely brand new to this site. Its, to me, Fascinating. So many of you are like the characters from the film cocoon. Spriyely, happy, carefree and offering support and encouragement to others. A pleasant place indeed. I read somewhere here that there is a laugh to be had here. I suppose my joining is a sort of a laugh? I just want a site where it is friendly and sociable , a wee bit like my neighbours. That reminds me; I must ask Maggie at Willowbrook Cottage if she needs anything from the Fishmonger who calls in his Fish Filled Van later today….. mmmmm….Tea time….? Yes…..

Yes, this site is a laugh a minute despite all the sadness. We encourage each other. Was woken this morning by one of those International phone calls. Never answer them, but very annoyed that they are now phoning so early. Where is Mick?

Linamillion, I am so sorry that your FIL has passed, but glad that both he and your MIL were able to enjoy so many years being together. I would send you flowers but my computer doesn't seem to recognize the way Gransnet does things. When my own Grandfather passed at age 76, it was very difficult for me to come to terms with it. I decided to choose to remember the good times I had with him and focused on his love he had for his family. I believe in a Hereafter, so am expecting to meet up with him again on the Other Side. Big hugs to you and yours! (((((((@)))))))

Oh, I am so sorry! I posted on the wrong thread! I was going to just pop in to see how everyone's morning was, when I remembered Linnmillion's post and decided to answer it before I forgot to do so. Would have been nice if I'd remembered to not forget to change threads first! Lol.

It is a quiet, very cold, snowless (!) day here in Massachusetts in USA. The cat woke me up. Very insistent that I rise and give her some treats. After her 4th attempt to convince me that sleeping in was useless, I got up. She was quite happy and jumped into her little bed - to go to sleep! :-)

Well, it was a singularly boring grey day here in S Lincs today, but I did manage to semi dry the washing before it got dark and I fed my garden birds twice, so all is not lost! And I completed a card for my DiL and son’s WA and a card for my 5 year old GS, so he gets mail too! But the burning question of the day is Who is Mick and what problems is he having with Windows 10? I read GN every day and recognise lots of regular names, but Mick has escaped my notice - until now - but I hope he’s OK.

there is a laugh to be had here.
Auld Fat Git; Welcome! Can we address you as AFG? Easier to one-finger type! As nobody has asked; what's the medallion you're wearing?
Can't be the Star of Bethlehem, you're off course and late anyway.
And you must be a Scottie? Hoots mon! If you have any jokes or laughs, would be glad to hear them, even if they're Scotch!

SCOTTISH, Rufus unless, you are looking for jokes about Scotch whisky!!!!!!

I suspect you do this deliberately to wind the Scots up, as we have pointed out on a number of occasions, we are SCOTTISH, not SCOTS. Not funny.

Sorry that should have said SCOTCH. I'm so annoyed, that I'm making errors.

Hot and sunny here and welcome to AuldFatGit whatever your heritage.
I'm currently watching (more accurately listening to) Neil Oliver's 'History of Scotland', it's brilliant.

Had a wonderfully luxurious breakfast of peppered salmon and bagel, the former a gift from a friend. Yum!

I suspect you do this deliberately to wind the Scots up
Marydoll; curse it! My little game has been rumbled. Of course; I've been playing it since I don't know when!
But how is a wee Sassenach supposed to pick the right terminology when even the locals get confused with their mother tongue? I'll have to re-visit Taggart (with captions) again.

You appear to be stuck in a time warp Rufus, in more ways than one.
I don't really think watching Taggart will be of any assistance to you.

You appear to be stuck in a time warp Rufus, in more ways than one
Marydoll; If only! I'm 91½ and pedalling like mad to stay in this time warp, but time stumbles inexorably on.
Barry Humphries has the right idea.
"I drift along, thinking about the past a great deal. The past is so reliable, so delightful and the best place to live. I end up there quite often, you know; it's very comfortable and dependable"

For once we agree, Rufus
