Still dark here on South Welsh Coast.
An early start today as have to go to hospital to have the stitches out in my foot and another cast put on. Traffic will be bad as usual, appointment at 8.30.
Enjoy your fish and chips Mick.
Wishing all who follow a good and enjoyable day.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A lovely sunrise on one side of the house and the moon still shining on the other. We had a gruelling but enjoyable day with The Boy yesterday, so I am feeling rather fragile today. He does not believe in standing still, sitting down or proceeding slowly. We are off to see a fly past this morning if we can find a good vantage point. Enjoy your fish and chips, Mick! Have a good day, all.

Good morning everyone from a very foggy Essex by the sea. I'm not having the best of nights at the moment hence the early rising.
We have an appointment at 9 to sign our new wills at the solicitors then DH will go off to work.
I will spend a few hours doing a small admin job I do for a friend then I think I'll get stuck into the new puzzle I started yesterday.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all. Mist is shrouding the church steeple in E.Northants this morning. Had a lovely if exhausting adventure day and picnic with great grandchildren yesterday. But at least it meant I slept well last night! A bit of shopping to do today and maybe I'll get stuck into my puzzle too Sar53. Hope Friday is good to everyone.

Morning Mick and All.

Thick mist in South Bucks today. We then set off for Sussex to DS and DGSs till Mon.

I do feel for you Greyduster the word gruelling is one we recognise with our two. It’s full on from the moment we arrive. The eldest 8 usually says to me your in goal Nan (indoor net) and I am saying can I get a cuppa first. The youngest 6 latches onto DH and wants him to help construct some skyscraper type model. We love being with them and being so much part of their lives, if only we were 10 years younger.

Enjoy your fish and chips Mick.

Good morning everyone! It's a misty start here on the south coast but definitely mild. Hopefully the sun will be out later.

I have a hair appointment this morning and the dentist this afternoon. I am trying a new dentist as I have lost all confidence in the one who has made such a mess of one of my crowns. I need to get it sorted as it is causing me a lot of discomfort.

The new washing machine arrived and was safely installed yesterday so we are now have several loads of laundry lined up. All good so far!

Hope the day is kind to us all.

Good Morning from a very misty Black Country, but I think once the mist has dissipated it will be a lovely day like yesterday.

I am off to the gym shortly. Then back to shower and drive over to pick up Mum, Then we are meeting DS, DIL and DGD's at a 1940's Vintage Café for lunch near Stafford. The café is apparently run by DIL's friend.

Best wishes to those of you with hospital/doctors appointments today flowers

Good morning everyone from south Manchester. The pennies are visible under a wash of apricot coloured sky - it’s so beautiful. Meeting a friend for coffee and cake at noon then I have a pedicure booked for this afternoon. This retirement malarkey has it’s good points!

I know what you mean NateKate - older to be parents mean some of us lot are older to be grandparents! Good luck at the dentist Gagagran sounds like you’ve done the best thing finding a new one. Your day sounds great Mick. And yours NannyJan - a vintage cafe sounds wonderful so long as the cakes aren’t! (Vintage I mean)

Urmstongran Fri 22-Feb-19 07:47:43

Duh! Pennines not pennies! I must learn to slow down & proof read first.

cornergran Fri 22-Feb-19 07:52:11

Morning Mick, morning All from our misty, mild corner of Somerset. Need to organise some clothes today, a task long avoided. Good luck to all with dental or medical appointments, hope Friday is kind to everyone.

Thick mist today so I can't see the water, beach or park, let alone across to Brixham, but who knows, when it clears we might have lots of sunshine.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Marydoll Fri 22-Feb-19 08:00:26

Good morning all from a mild Glasgow. There was a beautiful orange sky early this morning.
I agree with everyone about how, exhausting being an grandparent is, but I wouldn't change things for the world.
Our wee granddaughter brings such joy to us.
I may just potter about the garden today and tidy up some old paperwork, as my RA is very active and I have lost my ooomph! grin

Have a good day everyone.

kittylester Fri 22-Feb-19 08:00:51

Morning all! We too saw a spectacular sky on our way into the hospital where DH is having a small op. He was disappointed to find he will have to stay in overnight.

ScotinOz Fri 22-Feb-19 08:01:03

Good evening everyone from a dreich Sydney.

Went for a mammogram today. Seemed much quicker and less painful than the last time. All over in 15 minutes. Mind you, needed a coffee once it was over ?

Take care everyone

Good morning all from a bright, sunny Aberdeenshire. Am going out this evening to a crime writer's weekend talk from Abir Mukherjee who writes the most wonderful whodunnits, set in Calcutta between the two wars.
Keep smiling dragonfly...hope your treatment goes well. Been there, done it.
Have a great day everyone.

BlueSapphire Fri 22-Feb-19 08:28:43

Good morning all; it's very misty in Northampton, but have been promised a nice sunny day once it clears.
Just waiting for the DGDS to arrive. We shall probably go to Sainsbury's so they can have some chocolate fudge cake in the cafe. I have a few odds and ends to get.
You day sounds good Mick! I like the idea of fish and chips out followed by a drink! I shall probably succumb to glass of wine ? when the girls have gone home.....
Greyduster I have been hearing about that flypast on my local radio as apparently the planes were on their way back to an airbase in Northants.
Hope everyone's day goes well.

ninathenana Fri 22-Feb-19 08:29:42

Morning everyone.

I can't see past the end of the garden due to fog here in Kent.
Usual Friday food shop with a coffee stop.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning from a grey Fife however it’s quite mild and dry. Didn’t sleep well last night hence the reason for my lateness today. Still feeling rough as is DH now. Will have another day in. Hope today is good for everyone. Going to watch Tony’s fly passed on BBC breakfast. Lovely occasion.

MawBroon Fri 22-Feb-19 08:46:24

Good morning from misty N Bucks but you can tell that the sun is doing its best to break through.
Think I might potter in the garden today, I really can’t pretend it doesn’t need some attention for much longer!
Wishing you all a pleasant day!
