I'll offer my homemade lemon drizzle cake, help yourself, it's the only cake recipe that always turns out perfectly for me
Good morning the kitchen! I have been snoozing in the corner here for so long that I am having to shake off the cake crumbs, talk about starting to feel like part of the furniture! 
We really enjoyed DD being here for half term and she really helped and not least by being the one on the stepladder to reorganise our wardrobes and cupboards. Now I can reach everything and there won't be a problem when Himself is no longer able to retrieve stuff for me. We had to take her half way home to catch her train because the railway line was closed which gave us an unexpcted outing on a very beautiful day although very tiring. Took me a few recovery days. Missing her very much but hoping she will be back at Easter.

Galen Your neighbours unkind remarks are an indication of how unhappy she is about her own health issues and her own needs. Sounds as if that is her default position sadly and nothing to do with your situation at all but merely her spreading her own misery. It is difficult when someone you have known so long disappoints with their strange attitudes and comments but I think it is all about her and she is not thinking about you at all. Hope you start to feel better as the weather improves and spring has sprung. Big (((hugs)))
Panache really hoping you can come up with a master plan to ensure you can sell even if it does mean getting someone in to pack and then store what you want to keep. Temporary accommodation could work well and your house agent could source that for you. There is a cost to all these things but you will end up with something you canot buy - priceless peace of mind.

Synonymous Correction...it is you lot who are stars. I'm so thankful that we all found each other in this 'ere kitchen.
I've been to the care home and did a wee shop in Tesco. Returned home to discover that my clapped-out, ancient cell phone was missing from the shopping basket. Called the store in Campbeltown, phone call went through to the Tesco in Dundee. Lady very patient and contacted Campbeltown lost property. Returns to ask whether or not it's a Nokia. Don't have a clue. MacSporran picks up his cell phone and rings the number on my phone. At that point he was unaware that the person dealing with my query was in Dundee. Much gafawing. Apologised for being two, old farts. Now waiting for Campbeltown to contact me. They have the number and will check and phone me on the landline. The phone is scruffy. It's almost as clapped out old as I am. It's useless to any other being on the planet. So...I'm awaiting a call. 
Having waited for the call from the local store to confirm that the phone is indeed mine, I've had to call the Dundee store back. My home number was taken down incorrectly. Hence, I'm still waiting. Nice lady will return my latest call to confirm matters for me. They really are helpful ladies. I feel that it's my silly fault. End of story. Phone is mine. MacSporran will kindly pick it up for me during my ironing duties. Hell's Bells and Buggerations. I'm such a silly old dame.
It's still sunny and warm. It seems that the forecast suggests the warm spell may be leaving us on Friday. We've been very lucky.
I'm logging off until tomorrow afternoon. My Kindle is awfully fiddly. I get just so far with sending a message and then, hey presto, I lose the message. Not good for my sanity.

Urmstongran Our posts coincided and I've only just read your latest message. You have every reason to feel jittery. Most of us find that being able to talk over our personal problems does help to put certain stressful events into perspective. It's what we are here for. We are good listeneners. Please keep us updated. You have come to the right place for TLC. As for the cake, we'll one of us lot who can bake, will make one for you.

Hello the kitchen. The weather is back to something like normal this morning and both DH and I are full of cold (but his is much worse than mine, you understand! ). He also has a very sticky eye. We were out in the bright sun yesterday but I made him wear his sun glasses.
Two photos of a lovely walk around two of our moorland reservoirs yesterday, even though plans for a pub lunch went somewhat awry and we ended up having a custard tart and an orange, which he had brought out without telling me (or I would have provided ice packs), halfway round. As good as a feast! It was a bit of a swan song really. The weather is back to February normal now, and we must to the dump it site this morning to get rid of the rubbish we have dug out of the garden. Hey ho!
