Legs55 I agree with you,I admire Ann for speaking out,I voted fo Brexit as did all of my family, everybody I know & most of the region where I live.I will vote for the Brexit Party unless the Conservative party comes to its senses & puts a Brexiteer in charge. The sooner we leave the better......!!

Some of the people on here are so prejudiced, nasty & rude.We all have our own opinions but surely we could all try to be a bit kinder & less bitchy!

nice.

I obviously have a totally different attitude to AW from most of you. Think she is outspoken and amusing and hope she gets voted on as an MEP. Assuming of course democracy doesn’t happen.

I have respect for Anne Widdicombe, she is honest , I met her once during a general election campaign, I was working on the Labour Party stand in our indoor market, in trots Widdie with her big blue rosette, she is little, her hair was that harsh black then, she did stop to speak and was amusing.

Lily65 Fri 26-Apr-19 22:20:04

Ah well ,that's fine and dandy then

Anniebach Fri 26-Apr-19 22:32:41

Why that remark Lily ?

maryeliza54 Fri 26-Apr-19 22:37:41

So Lily it would be fine and dandy wouldn’t it if I said all gay people should receive aversion therapy as long as I was being honest? Who knew that honesty trumps homophobia and misogyny ? I suppose wearing a rosette would help as well.

maryeliza54 Fri 26-Apr-19 22:38:15

Oh I forgot I would have to be amusing as well

Lily65 Fri 26-Apr-19 22:48:38

Blimey maryliza truly you are preachin to the choir.

maryeliza54 Fri 26-Apr-19 22:51:50

I just addressed my post to you in the choir Lily as I thought you would ‘get it’. ?

I went off the woman when she was saying that women are making a fuss about nothing in regard to the change in retirement age which is making ladies lose thousands of pounds. I believe that m.p's still get theirs at 60!!!
nurse1crys the MPs won't be getting a State pension at 60 - they'll get it at the same age as everyone else.
I presume you mean the works pension, which, if anyone is in a works pension scheme, can be paid at 60.

Yasmin Alibhai-Brown always seems to speak common-sense.

GillT57 Fri 26-Apr-19 23:52:12

I really do not understand how any woman can vote for AW.

Elenkalubleton Sat 27-Apr-19 08:25:33

Well she may have said things everyone here dosnt agree with, but she’s forthright and the only politician who seems to want to bring Brexit to a conclusion, and stop all this faffing about.

NanKate Sat 27-Apr-19 08:35:12

Well said Elen.

Anniebach Sat 27-Apr-19 08:46:12

Agree Elen. I don’t agree with everything she says but I respect her for being honest.

I loved the skit Victoria Wood did of her - it was hilarious.

I hate her attitude to all the 50's women like myself who are struggling to work an extra 6 years. She has her pension so it's a case of I'm alright Jack.

varian Sun 28-Apr-19 19:03:30

She has found her place with Farage - in the party of the "i'm all right Jacks"
