I still find this attitude in women unbearably sad.
How on earth did we get to the stage where eating chocolate makes us disgusted with ourselves?
The brainwashing was and still is very strong, so much so that I expect the majority of people who read this, will disagree with me.
But we don't have to believe it.
WHY feel ashamed of eating something, anything you enjoy?
Would you feel the same way if it was fish, or cabbage? Of course not, because you (we) have been programmed to hate ourselves for daring to eat anything containing fats and sugars.
And yet those two things are vital to our well-being, especially the functioning of the brain.
Chocolate is a pleasure, and should be seen as such.
We are fine, wonderful, women who love chocolate - and should be seen as such - without shame or disgust.
