Good Morning Everyone,
Its grey but dry outside, looks like a mixed day as to weather.
Usual day for me , with Bicester and Buckingham on the cards.
Hopefully there will be a flea market on in Buckingham, as the stallholders tend to be governed by the weather as to how many arrive.
Hot water was fixed yesterday , nice refreshing shower this morning.
Mick

Thanks Urmstongran ? but it won't be anything like as warm/hot as Malaga and it's only a day trip to Ventnor, boat trip and tea at the Royal Hotel in their geranium garden overlooking the cove.
Yes...courtyard space looks quite pretty now it's 'planted up'.
I hope, I know you'll have a fab holiday...enjoy. envy

Good morning, we have sunshine and cloud in east London. Debating whether to go shopping now or wait til 5pm in the hope everyone else will have shopped before the match. Bit of disruption picking up DG yesterday-we’d just set off from East Ham and got stuck in a traffic jam heading for the north circular.(police incident) I stayed for 30 mins not moving then legged it to the dlr to get to my training. DP and GD were there for another hour before moving. She was as good as gold apart from pressing the car manufacturer’s emergency remote locating button (it worked and the remote voice was sympathetic). Have a good day

A later Good morning All x
I've been that busy nosing this morning that I forgot about the time.
I was watching the news and interrupted by a " talking reverse " so looked out as far as I could see and saw an ambulance backing up in the residents parking area. Nobody got out and nobody got in, so I gathered they were just having a break " out of the way ".
Then I got my clothes sorted and ready for a shower. Surprising where the time goes when you're having fun !

Then I found two nice large baking potatoes so gave them a scrub and pricked them ready for the oven later. I'll grate some cheese and put a dollop of Heinz mixed veg inside them and that'll do me with a chunk of my lemon drizzle cake. Living the high life !

Weather is still/calm but can't make up its mind one way or t'other , not exactly warm either.

Hope everyone is okay today and enjoys whatever they do.

Morning everyone from a rainy dull NE. Nothing much to do today but chores have a good day all.

Urmstongran Sat 18-May-19 09:25:51

Hope you have a lovely holiday Gabriella! Your plants sound pretty and will be well established when you get back.

Hi everyone smile
It's very warm with blue and white skies in Godalming.
I hope you all have a glorious weekend but for those not feeling so good flowers
I planted up two big half barrels yesterday, one with pink/purple upright fuschia and blue lobelia and t'other with an olive tree underplanted with white and lime green flowers whose name tags I've left in the (small plastic) greenhouse.
Now I need to paint the troughs...hmm
Hairdressers yesterday too and I'm delighted with the copper highlights and cut...as always. I'm off to IoW tomorrow with OH so today will be lazy. A second cup of coffee cafe and Amaretti biscuit for now and fruit n veg market later.

Good morning everyone from a dull but dry and seemingly mild South Manchester. Never mind, we fly back out to Malaga on Wednesday morning for a month of wall-to-wall sunshine. I may well be on the beach this time next week!

Hair appointment late afternoon then husband will be watching the FA cup final on television at 5pm before we go over to babysit the smalls.

Welcome Greyjoy nice to have a new addition to our merry band. Please could you tell us where you live when you post - it’s nice to know the area you post from!

Hope Saturday is good to everybody whether you have plans or none. x

Good morning everyone from a grey and damp Northampton.

Still no hot water, waiting to hear from British Gas. They are ordering me a new hot water tank, then arranging a date for installation. Am managing with boiling kettles, and the occasional visit to DS's for a shower. Felt so cold last night I put the gas fire on.

Nannytopsy, last match of the season for Northampton Saints too! Playing Exeter away and hope to get a good result to be in the top four and in the play-offs. If we lose, have to hope that Wasps beat Quins.

DD picking me up this morning to take me out for lunch, then home in time to watch the rugby on tv.

About to tackle the Telegraph cryptic crossword.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning from a rather grey and damp NE coast.

Typical that today is Saturday and the weather forecast is for drizzle .

So glad to hear you got your hot water sorted Mick .

Nothing much planned for today except for a bit of shopping and some housework .

A warm welcome to Gransnet and the Good Morning thread Greyjoy1953 smile

Have a good day everyone x

Good morning all, my first post on here, glad to read your hot water back up and running Mick nothing worse than no hot water. Just having my first cup of mint green tea than off to wander around with my little dog, cant call it a walk anymore as he is quite old and just strolls along. We start off with him in front but after about 10 mins he is lagging behind. Still he’s still a joy. Have a good day all.

NanKate Sat 18-May-19 08:39:00

Morning Mick and All.

Tiny bit of sunlight coming through the clouds in S Bucks.

DH returns after a few days away so I must scrabble around and get all the little jobs done on my To Do List, which I had intended to do whilst he was away. I’ve been too busy going out and meeting friends ?

Hope the hairdresser can sort you out Kitty.

Greyduster Sat 18-May-19 08:31:48

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a grey South Yorkshire. I think we are expecting rain. Glad you have hot water again Mick. GS has been here overnight and is just beginning to stir himself. I have no idea what we will do today except bake a cake and have lunch out, and maybe okay some games. He’ll be bored stiff by the time he goes home ?! Hope Mr C has a nice recuperative day, Corner.
It’s always hard to get men to sit still, I find. Have a good day folks.

Justme67 Sat 18-May-19 08:25:13

Good morning every one, a rather dismal start to the day today, but the rain overnight has refreshed the garden thank goodness. The dentist decided that we leave my sons' teeth as they are, there are two which are badly decayed, but she feels that the hassle to take them out and the possible pain afterwards is not worth it, so leave them until it is impossible not to. The fear of heart failure is always there. Anyway, enough of him, I think I am o.k. one ache just takes the place of another recently but I can still take a walk if I feel like it, and talk to friends. Take care, and enjoy your days.

Nannyfaraway Sat 18-May-19 08:22:46

Good morning everyone from a dull and chilly Wales. Off to work shortly.

harrigran Sat 18-May-19 08:17:12

Good morning from a misty NE after some overnight rain.
A quiet morning planned then off to visit sister for coffee and cake.
DH has a day off from his treatment today.

NannyJan53 Sat 18-May-19 08:11:08

Good Morning from a rainy Black Country.

It is my youngest DGD's birthday today (I have 4!) she is 8. So going over later with card and present, as she is going bowling with her friends this afternoon.

I think Partner will be watching FA cup this afternoon.

Kitty I have a shock every time I look in the mirror, as I expect an 30 year old to look back smile

Wishing Mr Corner a speedy recovery.

Pleased you have your hot water back *Mick(

Have a good Saturday everyone.

travelsafar Sat 18-May-19 08:04:45

Off to meet my sister for coffee then home to potter, read the Saturday paper and generally have a quite day. Will cook roast chicken dinner later. From tomorrow it will be full on with different things going on, think i only have Tuesday as free day. So i am going to make the most of today at home. Happy weekend to one and all.

DoraMarr Sat 18-May-19 08:01:50

Good morning from a rainy Birmingham. Lots of tidying up and floor cleaning today after my two days with my grandchildren, then Tai Chi at lunchtime. I’m going to do my Italian homework this afternoon too, and not leave it until the last minute!
I hope today is a good one for everyone.

Brunette10 Sat 18-May-19 08:00:35

Good Morning all from a dull and damp Fife. What a change! Heating on! Have some shopping to do and some admin work to get done, that's it for today. Hope everyone has a good Saturday despite weather.

Pittcity Sat 18-May-19 07:56:46

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Warm and dry weekend forecast here.
Quiet day here girding my loins for a pile of smelly laundry when DH returns from a week long fishing trip.

Marydoll Sat 18-May-19 07:53:35

Good morning all from a grey Glasgow.

Enjoy your Saturday everyone.

Sprout Sat 18-May-19 07:51:46

Morning Mick and all. A bit nicer this morning sun trying to get through this part of Kent. Dogs got me up early the birds are driving them mad. I like to see them flying around the garden but dogs hate it. Pottering day today. Hope everyone is well enjoy your Saturday what ever you are doing.

cornergran Sat 18-May-19 07:48:57

Morning Mick, morning All from a cloudy corner of Somerset. Quiet day today, Mr C is supposed to rest post hospital procedure yesterday. I’ll abandon him with his book and do a food shop then perhaps catch up with some admin. Hope Saturday is kind to everyone.

Grammaretto Sat 18-May-19 07:48:41

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Cake in the oven for our usual coffee morning.
I'm hosting an open day in my studio later. I wish it wasn't raining even though the garden will love it.
I hope everyone has a happy day.
