It’s a bit harsh to accuse the installers of incompetence! Often it’s only when they start work on a project that unforeseen problems arise. It must be very frustrating, and it will be for them too, as they probably thought they would have finished by now, and will have to put back another job, to the probable annoyance of their next customer. They seem to be solving the problem by building a platform, so it should be easier for any future inspections or repairs.
I hear stories about jobs that seem straightforward and turn out to be extremely complex from my plumber and fitter son in law, and I know he is very skilled, hardworking and honest.
