I'd lighten he room by removing all the stuff in front of the window and replace the leaded windows with clear glass. And put a plain roller blind there for privacy at night. Aubergine is smart and both a cool look in summer and a warm tone in winter.
Lime green and almond walls? No.

Too bright a lime green might be a bit overbearing, what about a gentle peppermint? You could get a few utensils in lime rather than a whole wall.

Rather than a pop of colour on your walls would you think of putting the "pop" somewhere else. What l did was that l put a green kettle and toaster on my work surface (morphy richards) I think. And l think it is great. My walls are a delicate pink, should have turned out a delicate peach but for some reason unbeknownst to me it didn't. I have always liked pink and green together (calming; what l need right now).

I like lime green or you could just add some new accessories in a bright colour - there are some great colours available now. Re your dishwasher - we covered a fridge and dishwasher in Fablon to match the cupboard doors which was easy to do and changed up the boring white. I redid the fridge a few years ago in black to match the washer and drier in the utility room. It wears well and the dishwasher gave out before the covering!

Duck egg blue never crossed my mind and yet its a colour I do like.
I was thinking of a stronger colour but it could be a stronger colour on the same colour chart as duck egg blue. And use the paler tones to accessorise.

Had a red accessorised kitchen many years ago and grew to hate it. It seemed overbearing and angry....... Or perhaps it was because it was a bad relationship time.

There's been little support for my idea of lime green which says it all

We have a pale green in our kitchen which goes beautifully with the green tiles in the cooker splashback, and along the wall behind the sink.
Green is a good choice, whatever the shade.

I`d better not mention mine, it`s almost identical in size and shape to yours Coolgran, but is painted in Happy yellow, looks nice and sunny all the time.

I like sage actually, which you already have, it looks so good with cream units, but lime will look great too, there are lime green accessories around ( I have a lime green radio in the kitchen.)?

I was thinking hints of teal or duck egg . I don’t think red or orange would work on a small galley kitchen. I notice the light from the window and think that some nice blue/teal accessories could really work .

My friend has all lime green walls in her kitchen and adores it. We have bright jade green all over and love it. (We both have white units). Go for anything you like - it can be changed if you don't like it. In life's bigger picture, it's not the end of the world if you don't.

cool not sure if I would paint both walls as it might "pull" the room in and make it look smaller. Anice strong turquoise might be just the ticket.

Dulux , have a couple of lovely Teal colours.

Bright red? It goes with most things but perhaps too overpowering if kitchen small. Turquoise possibly.
