Hello all,

As the title says, reallly.

Starting to think she calls the shots hmm and Harry goes along with it.

Callistemon Mon 08-Jul-19 18:31:45

FWIW I don't think she's the problem, the couple are behaving badly but its all got Harry's hallmark on it!
So what exactly have they done that can be construed as 'behaving badly'?

They've done the Royal Tours, charity work, been well received (well received in other countries!) and now had a baby whom they haven't paraded for the world's press.

Everything else is just tittle-tattle in the msm.

Lol @ OmaforMaya, how come YOU are allowed to form opinions like "Harry must love Meghan and she him" but you call other people stupid because they dare to form opinions about public figures that they dont know "intimately or immediately"

Nobody has expressed any speculation about their private persona! Their public persona however IS up for scrutiny so long as they remain eager to remain public figures.

Trisher, having or not having a RF, etc won’t make any difference to the lives / situations that we all find ourselves in, which is why I see no point in being angry about it, especially as many fortunate people ( inc the RF) try to help others.
Our anger would be better directed at the really evil people of this world. Best wishes.

Good to read your post OmaforMaya.

Mr Cheese and I also hold hands. We are not showing off, we just like it.
If others want to judge people for being affectionate that is their problem.

Some of these posts are ridiculous. If you are believing all that's in the media you're worse than stupid. Not one of you have any intimate or immediate contact with the couple in question...or any other Royal but yet you know all the ins and outs of their lives and the decisions they make for their children. I've never heard such codswallop as I've read here about this young Royal couple. Harry must love Meghan and she him and their child is their concern so let them live and get on with their lives and STOP criticising things you have no way of knowing for sure....except through tabloids and magazines that only print rumours and stories to make money.
Are you all really as stupid as you come over?

Have you done a survey Trisher ?
It would be good to see the percentages

OmaforMaya Mon 08-Jul-19 17:53:42

Pheonix can you say how you come to this conclusion....do you live with them ??

GrannyGravy13 Mon 08-Jul-19 17:50:45

Bridgeit It’s ok I guessed you didn’t mean my “breaks” ???

Bridgeit Mon 08-Jul-19 17:49:14

And ..... on here we have a chance to reply , explain or defended ourselves, they do not have that option.

Bridgeit Mon 08-Jul-19 17:46:48

I didn’t mean breaking your foot, ?

trisher Mon 08-Jul-19 17:46:03

Bridgeit isn't it strange though that much as I hate the RF I don't post abuse and criticism of individuals, whereas those who profess to be supporters do so all the time.

Bridgeit Mon 08-Jul-19 17:44:24

Love it Grannygravy ?

Missiseff Mon 08-Jul-19 17:27:39

I don't care, it's none of our business. Like our lives aren't anything to do with them.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 08-Jul-19 17:23:37

After 36 years together Mr. Gravy and I nearly always hold hands, and if I am wearing “high heels” I hold onto his arm as if my life depends on it (which after breaking my foot and ankle last summer it probably does!!).

I see so many couples of all ages walking along holding hands/arms I think it is just normal behaviour nowadays.

What is said off GN is said, accusing posters of racism when there has not been one racist post is resorting to lies

Eloethan Mon 08-Jul-19 17:16:50

I am totally opposed to the concept of monarchy but, apart from a few exceptions, including Andrew, I do not have a deep dislike of the individuals who are part of the royal family.

I definitely think there is an element of racism and snobbery in the constant nastiness being directed at Harry and Meghan. It started as soon as the two became an item. There was so much emphasis placed on her racial and social origins - some of them possibly not deliberately offensive but others certainly were.

Such as Will Wescott (who also makes very inflammatory comments about Jewish people) who said "the tribe is already trying to use Prince Harry's engagement to erase British identity".

The Spectator commented that Meghan Markle was "unsuitable" because she is a divorcee. Malorie Blackman, the children's author, responded:

"Three out of four of the queen's children are divorced .... why not just come out and say what is bothering you?"

There was a reference in an article to Meghan's "exotic DNA", to which Gina Yashere responded:

"She is not "exotic". She is not from a tribe in the Amazon. She is American".

It is notable that both these responses come from black women who are no doubt fully conversant with the language of "quiet" or "covert" racism.

It is a pity to see the nastiness continuing against Meghan Markle, and particularly on Gransnet. It may well be that her marriage will founder - after all, around 42% of marriages do end in divorce in the UK - and the royal family's record is no better. But it is fairly clear that there are many people willing this union to fall apart and who will be gleeful if it does.

I can’t agree GrannyGravy, I don’t read the newspapers, I look at their actions in front of the cameras, and the photographs they choose to be made public. Yes a new baby is a joy but ‘very much in love ‘? You are saying this by the photographs and televised film shots same as me.

You see the holding hands when on public engagements as
‘Very much in love’, I see ‘act your ages and keep the love-in
for off duty’,

The clutching and hand holding seem to say ‘look how much we adore each other’, , after only just after one year of marriage do they need to prove it for the camera ?

Sorry but limpet comes to mind when I see her clinging

Bridgeit Mon 08-Jul-19 16:35:10

That comment comes with a very big SIGH & disgust

Bridgeit Mon 08-Jul-19 16:34:09

Ohh dear Trisher,

trisher Mon 08-Jul-19 16:31:56

Jabberwok as they are not a 'family' but as they always claim a 'firm' it's quite easy to hate them. I hate many other firms-such as Nestle that sells milk to poverty sticken families and babies die.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 08-Jul-19 16:30:49

Unless anyone on here works at KP or Windsor Castle, the only things we know of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex is what is being fed to us, the general public by newspapers, and other various forms of media.

Have these "journalists" got their own agenda?

All I see is a relatively newly wed couple, very much in love with a beautiful much loved baby only a few weeks old.

A lot of guessing on this thread
