Afternoon Michael, Annie and all. I missed the ‘morning’ slot, as I was busy doing the ironing, phew.
Then by the time I had put everything away, had a shower, tidied up, (hmm, not a lot) , had a coffee, it’s almost lunch time and I shall be off to my volunteering shortly.

Good morning from east London, dull with a few drops of rain. Mixed tennis match finished very late last night, didn’t get home til after 11.30 so early doctor’s appointment today took a bit of effort. I enjoyed the walk though, eased out the creaks. Back into basement clearing today with a ladies tennis match this evening; at least it’s ‘away’ so there’s no supper to do. Have a good day.

Waiting for eldest GS and younger GD , he is child minding his little sister , she won't stay in their house because the cleaning lady has arrived , got the toaster at the ready and the markers and drawing paper to hand lol

It's looking rather overcast here in South Yorkshire, but seems a bit brighter grey in the distance. We've had rain earlier, but it's dry now.
Catching up with my friend later but first I need to pop out for a birthday card for my BiL who is 80 this week.
When I get back from seeing my friend, the ironing or the weeding beckons. ?

Not much on today...run was invigorating and ducks had a whole croissant, greedy blighters. I'll pop along to the fruit n veg market in the pepperpot a bit later. It's an ancient pink building at the end of the High Street.

Managed to see a GP yesterday at a walk in clinic and only waited just over an hour, result. I took my novel but bumped into my sister in law who updated me on all the family news.
I am keeping fingers crossed as a couple are having a second viewing of our flat today, they are the ideal purchasers if the sale goes ahead.

Later we take our 6y old grandson to his swimming lesson. It’s great to see him swimming so confidently now and he enjoys it, giving us a ‘thumbs up’ signal every now and then - too cute!

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. The sun has disappeared and the temperature is down.
Cool enough for ironing and gardening.
We love Hayling and Portsmouth too. Very envious of Lins1066 but will settle for watching from home.

Good morning everyone from a grey Northampton. Just having my morning tea, but must stir myself soon as man coming again today to complete cleaning of patios, driveways etc. Apparently the dirt is so ingrained that it needs a pressure washer with a scrubbing brush on it! I have known the lad since he was 4 yrs old so I know he is conscientious and will do a good job. Our families lived three doors away from each other for years, and he and DS were in the same year at school. Ended up working with his mother, and am still friendly with her and her DH.

Out for lunch today with a friend, just a toddle to the pub/restaurant at the end of the road. Wine will be taken, and I won't have to cook tonight!

Murky, heavy and very still so it looks as though it will be like this for the rest of the day as no breeze to shift it. Not impressed with the summer weather so far. Hope it improves before all the kids break up.

Small shop later and a possible visit from GD as youngest is in nursery, she's had a tough time of late.
Still missing my Aussie D as it's just a week since we said our goodbyes-------so I'll have to pull myself together. Not the best of prospects when she's heading towards 60 and myself towards 80. Ah well, like everyone else, I just have to get on with it, and I will.

Hairdresser coming this morning, then a walk with the little dog. We will hand her back to our DS and DiL tomorrow, they have been in the Calgary Stampede for the last few days of their holiday.

DD and I are going to Centre Court on Thursday, she has tickets for the Ladies Semi Final, excited doesn't come close.

Good Morning All. It is grey skies here in Cheshire
My job for the morning is to remove the bags of chopped cuttings of leylandii to take to the tip.
They are packed in bags in the car. Right now the smell of leylandii is awful.
I had better get dressed first though, some breakfast and a cup of tea will help.
Me wandering about the tip in my white dressing gown might scare the natives of Cheshire. Have a good day.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It is dull and damp in South Yorkshire this morning, but cooler which is nice. Nothing much on the agenda today except the school run. GS has a school sports awards event this evening at a hotel in the city. Parents and GPs are not invited to attend ☹️. He has to look very smart. Can’t wait to see that!! Welcome Hal49.
