Which instant coffee do other GNs recommend for an early morning boost.

I know the purists will say I should grind my own beans but first thing in the morning I have trouble even remembering my name and need a good strong kick of caffeine to get going

Nescafe Cap Columbie. Although it has changed slightly.

Alta Rica. Sunday Times voted it best instant coffee some years ago.

Kenco Columbian .
Although I can’t drink coffee first thing, at all other times I drink this.

If it has to be instant, it’s got to be Percol All Day Coffee or Percol Americano.

Cap Columbie used to be good, but it’s not now.

Marks and Sparks one. Strongest strength.

Millicano - when I lost my sense of taste it was the only one which remotely resembled coffee. For the Tassimo I use L'or intense no 5 (only drink black coffee) and run more hot water through it.

I don't do caffeine. When my husband is lazy he uses our lavazza pods.

Percol for me .The Espresso Noir or the Columbian

I love coffee but hate it too strong. The brands mentiomed here are all the same. I tried using the tip of a tspoon but still to strong. Can you still get nescafe mild powder. Thats nice

I'm a fan of Gold Blend too. I take it with Coffee Mate as it tastes smoother. I don't like milk in coffee and never took to beans or those pod things.

My friend once said that ground coffee tastes like ashtrays - and I agree!

I have never liked taking drugs so caffeine, especially in coffee, is out for me.

Nescafe Columbian ( purple box/jar ) was my favorite until it went downhill ..

Nescafe gold blend, but it does seem to have changed recently. (Not for the better)

Oh my word! I’ve just stocked up on this as it was on offer at £4! I hope I still like it!!

oldglimmer I always put my milk in before the boiling water as it tastes better that way - try it? I think the water scalds the coffee so the milk buffers it a bit - well that’s my theory!
