Perhaps it's true!

Anniversaries are always difficult and it surely is a sign. I agree with tanith that these small comforts help to raise the spirits. That's important for we widows.

sunseeker and and a hug for you, it’s soon going to be the first anniversary of DHs death for me and I’ll be upset I’m sure. If little signs give you comfort then that’s ok.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. It's 8 years for me too Beckett and everyone tells me how well I am doing, but on the anniversary, his birthday and other significant dates I'm afraid I do still get upset.

for all who are missing a loved one.

Thinking of you and your loss. I imagine there are moments when it is still unbelievable that a loved one is not with us.

And I do think they watch from beyond and send a sign when they can.

Oh yes, I take comfort from any little sign. Was at the kitchen window one day thinking, DH please send me a sign so that I know you're around, and at that moment a robin landed on the washing line. Thank you for your kind words Gabriella.

I'm sorry for your loss and yes, it will always take time to live with the reality of him not being there as part of your life on a daily basis, however, he's forever in yoyr thoughts, your heart and if you have children, lives on in them.
Meanwhile, whatever comfort you get from, perhaps, his favourite song played on the radio just when you thought about him, or a feather which appeared as if by chance, take those things and smile.
To some they may be coincidences but if they have meaning and give comfort to you, that is all that matters.
