I remember that we ate more in the fifties, probably a post war thing.
Sunday tea was a very formal affair in our house, always sitting round the table. Cold meats , pork pie etc. Tinned fruit with Carnation milk and then home made cake. All this followed the traditional Sunday lunch. I had to go to chapel three times each Sunday, no day of rest then.
I loved rice pudding and porridge made with Carnation milk as well.
The land is dry, and the people are ...stupid?
Struggling with estrangement from 2 adult children and dont know where to go from here.
