R.I.P. Clive James, aged 80y

I enjoyed his dry, wry wit, such a clever man.
He bore his illness with grace and a certain positivity.

Oh, how sad. He wrote almost the funniest TV criticism I've ever read (Nancy Banks-Smith equalled him ) I've a collection of them in a book and they still make me laugh.

I hadn't heard of this until now. He was one of the most erudite and funny men on tv; I could listen to him speaking for hours. RIP

I decided about twenty years ago that when I became famous/infamous, Clive James would be my interviewer of choice.

Loved Clive James he was so witty ,I genuinely laughed out loud reading his books.I think he outlived his original diagnosis by a few years .
