NanKate I feel exactly the same, I detest cooking. I don’t know how to use herbs and quite frankly I’m not interested in learning either. We had foreign students live with us for 24 years all year round when I was bringing my son up. DS was a very very fussy eater, my DH thought only meat and 3 veg was a ‘proper’ meal and I was always on a diet of some sort so every night I would cook at least 3 different dinners for us all without a thought. But the moment DS left home 28 years later that was IT! Told DH I hated cooking and we shopped ready meals from M&S, but sick of them now to be honest. I did try hello fresh and I actually did enjoy them but they do take longer than half an hour and as I’ve had 2 major back surgery’s cannot stand for long now. Personally if I lived on my own I would be slimmer because a jacket potato with prawns or salad would do me every night or spaghetti on toast or sandwich. Have thought recently like Pantglas2 on a better day batch cook some vegetables and chilli/ spaghetti bolognese. If I can find the energy after Christmas might just do that. But I am reassured by this thread that I’m not lazy and I’m not the only woman in the world that absolutely hates cooking!

) Living alone now I barely cook at all but try to eat well to stay healthy. Surprised by how many people feel the same as I do about it.
