Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but its a dry start here in Brackley this morning, a day of some housework.
I also see the Nurse at my surgery as to Diabetic results.
I then plan an easy day , with housework and changing things about.
Mick

Good Morning Mick and all who follow from a dark and wet Severnside. The forecast does not look good for the next few days.

Started a sort out yesterday so I might carry on with that today.

Hope you all have a good Monday ?

NanKate Mon 13-Jan-20 06:44:29

Morning Mick and All.

It looks as if you are starting some Spring Cleaning Mick.

I think the rain is on its way to South Bucks.

No Keep Fit for me today as the doc has told me to rest up for a little longer. I’m fed up with resting up but for once I will be sensible.

DH returns today after a long weekend helping with the DGC. The 2 boys 8 and 6 got hold of his mobile and were texting me hilarious messages mostly on predictive text so the results made no sense. They even managed to send me a photo of one of them pulling a face and somehow had written on top of that the word pizza.

Have a good Monday folks and do hope Mary is feeling better and Gilly gets some respite from her facial pain.

NanKate Mon 13-Jan-20 06:45:16

Morning Beechnut I think I will do some sorting too.

Good morning, Mick and all to come. Still very dark in Northampton but it's dry. Up early because the workmen are coming this morning to finish off; just some bits of tiling to do and one or two other things. Apart from that, some washing to do and general tidying up and think about what to cook for dinner this evening.

A good afternoon at rugby yesterday; we played really badly, but still managed to win and with a bonus point too! As soon as I got home I watched it all over again, as I had recorded the match!

Best wishes to all for a good day.

Good morning from a dry Bristol.
Early start again this morning .school run then pick up later.
Busy weekend as my daughter has moved house so I was mostly watching DGC3 so very tired this morning and a nap will be on the cards later I think.
I hope all have a good day.

ninathenana Mon 13-Jan-20 06:55:13

Morning everyone.

My phone tells me it's raining but it isn't. We are due 50-60 mph ?? later though.
A day of housework for me, DH won't be doing much as he's been downstairs since 2am with constant coughing.
Best wishes to all those who are poorly or troubled.

Grammaretto Mon 13-Jan-20 07:04:11

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it's dry so far.

Thanks for the cough cure advice yesterday. He was so poorly that I called 111 and we got seen right away. DH is on antiBs now and I feel a cold coming on.
I wish Gilly and Marydoll could get relief and NanKate can get out and about again.

Sark Mon 13-Jan-20 07:12:08

Morning everyone
Still dark here in Oxfordshire but dry for now.
I am going back to work today following a few days off last week with laryngitis.
Had a lovely weekend with the family and played endless games of 'guess who' (board game) with our 5 year old GS!
Hope you all get your sorting out/jobs done.
Best wishes to all for a good day

Yiayia4 Mon 13-Jan-20 07:12:29

Morning all still very dark in Inverness.
We did the boat trip round Loch Ness yesterday found it very interesting although cold ,a bit of snow in the morning.
Home later this afternoon it's been a great trip both love Scotland.
Hope [Marydoll] [Gilly] and [EllenVallen] are feeling better.
If anyone is interested a picture of the castle Loch Ness

Alygran Mon 13-Jan-20 07:17:50

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s still dark so I have no idea what the weather is like. Forecast is for rain and high winds later.
Charity board meeting here this morning starting with coffee and croissants. Not good for my diet. Perhaps I’ll get out after that and before the rain for a walk.
As ever good wishes to all who are not well or struggling at the moment.
Hope Monday is kind to everyone.

Good morning from Birmingham, where I am watching the sun rise over the park. It is dry but there are some clouds building up. I’m going to an organ concert in Birmingham town hall at lunchtime. “the Ride of the Valkyries” is on today’s programme, which should be exciting!

I hope everyone with health problems has some relief today.

harrigran Mon 13-Jan-20 07:42:40

Good morning from a still dark NE where there is a very large bright moon.
Prescription to collect this morning then not a lot to do, perhaps some grocery shopping.
Very quiet day yesterday, caught up with TV and watched Vera last night. I can't get over Brenda Blethyn being the same age as me but so much more agile.
Take care all poorly people.

Nannytopsy Mon 13-Jan-20 07:42:52

Good morning Mick and all his followers. Clear blue skies in Suffolk at the moment but not sure that will last!
I had a bit of a Marydoll moment yesterday! We took ourselves off to a Snowdrop Festival yesterday. The car park held a surprisingly large number of vans and the Village hall had a funny smell. It turned out we had arrived st a poultry show and the snowdrops are next weekend!
Oops! ?
Hope everyone has a good day

Good Morning from Fife, it's calmer here today although I fear the west of Scotland is to get stormy weather, hope everyone takes care over there. Looking for new furniture for our back sitting room today although not in the mood for it but will have look anyway. Watched 'Secrets and Lies' last night, very good film, really enjoyed it. Hoping everyone with ailments start to feel much better. Take care.

Lins1066 Mon 13-Jan-20 08:04:31

Good Morning Mick and all from a dry S Welsh coast.
We have battened down the hatches in readiness for Storm Brendan later today.
We are going to the local shopping outlet this morning for a browse and a coffee.
That is a great photo Yiayia4, it sounds as though you had a good time.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from east London, dry and cloudy. Tennis at lunchtime and more ‘sorting out’ either side of that. Our front room is full of papers associated with late BiL although the rest of the house looks relatively uncluttered as nearly everything we cleared away for the builders etc is still in the loft/basement. Every now and again a picture appears on a wall but I think I’m going to have to give in and buy a new potato masher. Pleasant evening with DD and family yesterday; DS came with us to see his new niece and got GD to do her homework. Hope you have a good day.

cornergran Mon 13-Jan-20 08:18:50

Morning. Mick, morning All. It’s dry at the moment in our corner of Somerset, strong winds and rain forecast later. Paper mountain to deal with and an attempt to get the garage to sort the car which came back from its service in a right pickle. Generally a tedious day ahead I suspect. Hope Monday is kind to everyone.

Good morning from Shropshire.Looks like it’s raining again.
Going into town this morning and then DH has Drs appointment this afternoon.Really hoping he is well enough that we can see the family, wetotally missed Christmas so still have everybody’s gifts to hand out.Missing seeing everyone so much.
I hope Mary and Ellan are both ok.
Hope you had a better night gilly.x

kittylester Mon 13-Jan-20 08:25:56

Morning all from the Suffolk coast where is is greyish with the sun just beginning to peep through.

We are just about to go for breakfast and then we must decide what to do as the weather is not looking too good.

Resurgam123 Mon 13-Jan-20 08:26:18

Good Morning All . I had a bad night.
We have new choir music to contend with today.
Who knows what we will get.
Do some people already have snowdrops out? Mine are not quite there yet,

I have been coughing a lot as some others seem to be. This seems to be yet another bug.

Bellasnana Mon 13-Jan-20 08:30:52

Good morning to you all from Malta where it is not looking very bright at the moment. It rained a bit yesterday so we might be in for some more today.

I’m still struggling to get up. The houses are so cold here, no central heating and designed to keep the heat out rather than in. Roll on summer!

NanKate I laughed out loud at the funny messages from your DGC, especially the pizza picture!grin

Nannytopsy, chickens smell pretty awful when you were expecting snowdrops! Oh well, hopefully you can go next weekend ?

All of you who are poorly, please take care and I hope you will soon be feeling better. sunshine

lavenderzen Mon 13-Jan-20 08:39:23

Good morning all. Hope everyone with colds/feeling poorly is improving.
Lovely picture of the castle at Lock Ness.
Have a good day everyone.

NanKate Mon 13-Jan-20 08:39:35

Yes Bellasnana one of the messages said the eldest grandson was wearing a red dress ! All down to predictive text. They asked what I was wearing and I said stylish pjs.

Did you see the tennis yesterday. I was sad team Spain didn’t win but there was some great tennis.

Urmstongran Mon 13-Jan-20 08:43:41

Good morning everyone from Malaga where the sun’s shining already. A bit chilly out but promises to warm up later to 20°C as yesterday! Lovely.

It’s Monday = ladies meet up + wine this afternoon. There will be 5 of us in ‘our’ bar. My neighbour next door from Yorkshire joins us. She is 77y and since retirement she has had breast cancer, a fall when she broke her hip and developed multiple sclerosis. I will push her up to the bar - it’s only 2 blocks along - in her wheelchair ‘her pram’ as she calls it! She never complains and has such a positive outlook on life she is a joy to spend time with.
❤️

Hope Monday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. x. Especially Marydoll as we know she is struggling and I didn’t see her post yesterday. And gillybob too. I think I’d camp at the hospital until an ENT specialist came to attend to me. This is beyond awful to bear.
