Good Morning Everyone,
Its a dark start as usual, but looks dry here in Brackley.
Yesterday, was interesting as regards how things went, got into Banbury Hospital, Field Test then Glaucoma Monitor both eyes, not told when next appointment is but will get results in 2 weeks.
I then walked back to Banbury's bus station , where I caught a slightly earlier than planned bus home , I transferred on the direct bus to Bicester , did my normal thing, coffee etc, and came back via Buckingham, and also there had my usual coffee stop , before coming home a full day out.
Today, cycling on TV this afternoon , so arealaxing day.
Mick

Goodmorning Mick and all x

It is bright here in SE Essex.

Sar53 we took GC to Lakeside to choose a birthday present yesterday, and got stuck on A13 coming home as there had been a bad accident, I was hoping desperately that GC didn't need a "wee"

Gym this morning, then a pottering afternoon, GrandpaGravy is out this evening so I will curl up by the fire with a book.

Hello IrishGrannyAnne

Thinking of Luckygirl and the gillybobs and all Goodmorningers who are poorly.

Keep warm and dry folks (and Mommawolfs alpacas and new baby lambs.

Urmstongran Wed 19-Feb-20 08:50:26

Ooh lovely Ginster - lucky you!

Good Morning All x.
Opened the curtains this morning and thought a neighbours house was on fire. It was the red sunrise reflecting on her windows and looked for all the world like a fire inside.

Dry so far but the forecast isn't so hot, so I'm glad I got my shopping done yesterday as I don't have to venture out.

Those alpacas are a delight. Like someone said, I'd get nothing done if I was surrounded by farm animals either. Soozie has a naughty face ! I love it, just like my Suzie cat full of mischief.

Thinking of those who are anxious in or near the flood areas, also those who aren't so well, Marydoll, Dragonfly, Luckygirl and the Gillybobs xx

Gingster Wed 19-Feb-20 08:35:51

I’m on the Suffolk coast, Urmstongran. ?☀️

GrannySomerset Wed 19-Feb-20 08:31:49

Like so many, will be thinking especially of Luckygirl and also the Gillybobs, as well as those dealing with the aftermath of the awful weather. We so need some sunshine and good news!

Craft group this morning - no idea what we are doing, but will enjoy the company and thinking about something else.

IrishGrannyAnne Wed 19-Feb-20 08:29:05

Thanks for the welcomes!

Hi Marydoll. I replied and my message disappeared also. Wexford is lovely. And it's the 'sunny south east' here, so mild winters. It's a dull day today but hopefully the sun will arrive. Living alone so its lovely to find a good morning site. I used to drive through Enniscorthy to Dublin but it has recently been bypassed. I work with lots of people from Enniscorthy, nice town.

I wrote a welcome to IrishGrannyAnne and it has disappeared. I'm losing the plot!!!
My granny and grandad came from Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, to Glasgow seeking work in 1900 and settled there.
I have always wanted to visit, but no chance now. I have a postcard on my fridge from there to remind me of what it looks like.

Good morning from a bright sunny Essex. Lovely catch up with ex colleagues yesterday. 5 hour lunch with lots of stories and laughter! Both DGSs coming today. We will go to the library and have coffee in the cafe. They tell me they are too big to have babycinos any more!!! Then Poundland where they each have £1 to spend as they like. We are going to do some junk modeling this afternoon and bake some cakes before they go home. Have a good day everyone xxx

Nortsat46 Wed 19-Feb-20 08:09:21

Forgot to add, I am thinking of Luckygirl today ?

Lins1066 Wed 19-Feb-20 08:07:16

Welcome to the Good Morning thread IrishGrannyAnne.

Urmstongran Wed 19-Feb-20 08:06:31

Hi there newbie IrishGrannyAnne ?
Lovely to have you join us! What’s your weather like over there today? It’s a bit of a tradition on Mick’s thread to share that news.
?

Marydoll Wed 19-Feb-20 08:06:08

Good morning all from a wet Glasgow, no wind thank goodness. I wonder why you were all mentioning ice, until I looked at the weather forecast. Snow ? is expected, I must have missed that on the weather forecast. sad

Mommawolf, love your warm posts in the morning. I have been watching a programme on county shows, yesterday's was to feature alpacas. I missed it, DGD had other ideas! grin.

Another day in for me, sad I have been trying to summon up the energy to bake ??, since Sunday, today may be the day!

Thinking of all who are unwell and have worries. Dragonfly and the Gillybobs are never out of my thoughts and praying for strength for Luckgirl to get through today.

Nortsat46 Wed 19-Feb-20 08:03:33

Good morning Mick and the GM team.
Good morning Mommawoolf ...and Zebedee and Soozie, (who look like they might be up to mischief today??)
Easy day for me today after the Injection Clinic yesterday, which was uncomfortable and physiotherapy which was v uncomfortable.

I started reading the paper this morning and put it aside, as everything seemed grim and very concerning ...and I am not in the mood for that.

All good wishes to GNs who are facing issues with the weather and to all who dealing with challenges. Have a good day.?

Good morning from a dry and bright NE.
Really enjoyed the lecture last night, I was surprised at how many very large clothing shops we had in our town centre last century. The town centre now has only the usual chain stores and lacks the quality clothing.
DIL and GDs visiting this afternoon, will be nice to catch up.
Thinking of all on tye sick list.

NannyJan53 Wed 19-Feb-20 08:02:34

Yes Sark I will be ice skating too! It's not so bad after the first 5 minutes you get the hang of it!

NanKate I hope you are ok flowers

Mommawolf Wed 19-Feb-20 08:02:21

Our lambs are safe URMSTONGRAM we raise them for their wool but I know what you mean I am fond of a lamb roast myself.

IrishGrannyAnne Wed 19-Feb-20 08:01:31

Good morning from Wexford Ireland. Are there Irish Grannys on this site,I just joined. Nice to hear from someone in Edinburgh, 3 of my children , 2 grandsons and 2 granddogs live there, I love Edinburgh! Living alone here, lovely to hear lots of 'good mornings'. Have a nice day.

dragonfly46 Wed 19-Feb-20 08:01:25

Good morning from a bright Leicestershire after a little snow yesterday evening!

Taking the car for a service today but they give us coffee and cake while we wait so no hardship and at least the car gets cleaned.

A walk later with friends if it stays dry and if not more coffee and cake!

Love the photos Mammawolf. We have alpacas up the hill apparently the protect the cows and sheep which roam up there.

Hope your DH has a date for his pre- assessment gilly.

Urmstongran Wed 19-Feb-20 08:00:23

I agree with you Gingster that looking at the sea and watching the waves is very calming. Which area are you posting from?

Curlywhirly Wed 19-Feb-20 07:58:21

Good morning all from a dry Cheshire. Oh, Mommawolf those gorgeous alpaca faces, how do keep your hands off them? I'd be cuddling them no end! And as for the new lambs, well I'd be mauling them to death! Good job I don't live on a farm, nothing would get done!

Need to get moving (am in bed with a cup of tea) as am off to my charity shop volunteering this morning. The DGC are skiing in France with their Mum and Dad at the moment, so it's a quiet week for me. Spent yesterday cleaning my ovens, a job I kept putting off. Feeling very virtuous now! Take care everyone and here's hoping those in flooded areas have no more rain.

Urmstongran Wed 19-Feb-20 07:51:28

Good morning everyone from South Manchester where it’s dry. We are picking my stepfather up late morning and all driving down to Birmingham to visit his brother who is a sprightly 93y old. Rain is forecast there around midday. We go out for lunch at a nearby restaurant and he drives us!

Great photos of the alpacas Mommawolf and glad to hear the new born lambs are healthy. So cute. It does make me feel guilty though that I like roast lamb....

We met up with a couple last night for drinks. We all liked the new bar and we had a great catch up. Old friends really are a treasure aren’t they?

Hope Wednesday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. x
