Married at 20 (living 'in sin' as it was back then at 18)

First child when I was 25, second 27. 19months between them.
We were broke but happy!

Married at 17 had first baby nine months after second one at 21 third at 26 all lovely and never regretted a thing. Been married 43 years in April hasn’t always been easy but worthwhile.

Married at 21. First baby at 23. Second at 25. Third at 29. I'd have happily kept having babies but we couldn't afford anymore.

Married at 18 far too young, first daughter 23, second daughter 33 and third daughter 39.

I was 30 when I got married, and had my first child exactly 9 months later ??, when I was 31. My second and last child was born when I was 33.
Tried for another, but that was it.

Just 20 when married, first baby at 20, then 21, 23, 26 and 28. Sterilised a few months later, still 28.

Married at 20, first daughter born the day before my 23rd birthday, second when I was 26. They are now 43 and 40. First daughter had her 3rd at 39 and second daughter her second at 38.

I was 25 the day after the first was born and 28 when the second was born. Married at 20.

17 months between each so 3 under 3 - busy but loved it. Might have tried for more but third was early and had cord round her neck so heart rate kept dropping and was very scary at delivery though midwife saw how frightened we were and ordered everyone out delivery room except student midwife. Unknown to us neonatal staff were just outside door. As it happened DD2 came out screaming face up so were not required but my DH ws so white and scared I could not put him through that again.

Married at 23, had twins at 28.

Married at 21, first baby at 22 and family complete at 25.
We believe it was the right thing to do, both DC had left home by the time I was 43 and then we had time for each other.

I was 20 with an unexpected honeymoon baby. Oops.

Married at 21 had my first baby at 21 didn’t have a clue what to expect was so excited husband brought clothes to hospital a tad too tight for me couldn’t get the trousers on had a miscarriage 8 yrs later had my second child 9 years later no regrets loved every minute fed up with people saying when are you going to have another one replied when I want to and not before I’ve now got two beautiful adult children with 6 love grandchildren between them. I’m blessed

Married at 19. Had my first at 22 and my 6th a few weeks before I turned 40.

The hardest part for me was dealing with the youngest two as teenagers when DH and me were getting older. That IMO is the downside of having DC later.

I was 32 and absent daughter was my only child. She had her last child – the sixth when she was 32.

I was twenty and went on to have two more soon after. Went back to work full time. Plenty of energy in those days. Now I am 76 and my children are in their fifties. worked full time all my life until I retired from teaching at 72. Now enjoying retirement and a decent pension. Hey ho.

Married at 24, first born at age 25, second at 27 third at 29. Only regret is mum died in mid fifties just after wedding so she wasn’t there to hold the babies. But no regrets, they were the happiest days

I was 19 when I had my first son and 21 when I had my second son. I’m 51 and have a 4 year old grandson. I’m glad I had my boys early on because now my sons are grown and I have the energy to look after my beautiful grandson and I’m still young enough to go out with my boys and have a drink.

First at 19, 2nd at just 21 and 3rd at just 24, I had 3 children under 5 by the time I was 24!

First at 20 and 19 days. Second at 23 and a half. Grandmother at 39 and a half! So didn't get my independence back in my 40s. ?
