Good morning from the NE where we have a sunny but frosty day.
We have a date for my cousin's funeral, two weeks today. She had a brain tumour but developed sepsis, she remained in her nursing home rather being hospitalised. I am pleased that they respected her wishes.
When we were shopping on Wednesday a man stood in the middle of Aldi and did the loudest sneeze, clearly not muffled by a handkerchief or elbow. The look on every shopper's face spoke volumes.
I am staying at home today.
Kind thoughts to all.

Good morning from a very sunny Essex. What a difference that yellow ball in the sky can make! Going for celebratory lunch with DDIL's mother today as she is staying for a few days to meet her new granddaughter. Then hair appt and quiet night in after a busy week. Will read other posts now as had a late start. Hope everyone can manage to enjoy that little bit ofsunshinexxxx

Thank you Grammaretto, I am new to this thread. Do you all visit it regularly? You seem to know each other. I'm in Wetherspoons now, with a coffee. wink

Good Morning All x
A lovely sunny, if frosty morning, but just what the doctor ordered. That sun feels warmer too.

May I first thank everyone for their continued thoughts, they keep me warm, honestly ! So very kind. xx

I don't feel too bad so far today with just a small local shop to do, fresh bread and potatoes needed and a top-up of cat food before the bigger shop at Asda next week.

Thinking of Marydoll and her medications, Dragonfly and the Gillybob's and anyone else who has appts. or illnesses.xx
See you arrived safely Urmstongran, enjoy your stay. x

Crumpets and drinking choc now to keep the strength up.
Stay well and warm everyone, you're all so special. x

Good morning from a cold Derbyshire, but its sunshining, which is very rare at the moment. If it stays that way my walk with my four legged friend will be especially good.

Hope everyone has a good day, and those with worries and are poorly start to feel better.

Mum of mad boys, I too Googled as you did and just found fatal accident involving two elderly women.

Urmstongran Fri 06-Mar-20 09:17:50

Very well said GG13 totally agree.

Good morning all from a bright and frosty mid Notts. I rather think the three appointments on consecutive days has taken it out of me a little so a quiet day in store with my book and knitting. May Friday be kind to us all x

Morning, folks! Chilly and misty in Argyll but some rummagings in the moss* (that's the 'lawn' to unhilly gardens) of the Boggy Brae revealed the first wee points of Northern Marsh Orchid in places where they grew last year.

*It's proper 'lawn' moss: Rhytidiadelphus squarrosus, Springy Turf Moss. Other species too but that's dominant in many oarts.

My shoulder didn't live up to yesterday's early morning promises and ached like billyo. Hey ho. Forward, back, forward, back, shoulder healing hokey-cokey ?. It is healing and that's the main thing.

Good morning from a very chilly but sunny north of Scotland. I am relaxing after a busy time helping family. Lots of snowdrops in bloom and the green shoots of daffodils are peeping through. EllenVanin I am so very sad for you and all the family. marydoll I must have missed something but I hope your appointment today goes well and you maybe meet someone “interesting” in the waiting room to regale us tomorrow. Off to meet a friend I haven’t seen for some time for lunch. It may be a pleasantly long afternoon. Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a sunny South Yorkshire. The good news is we are NOT going looking at furniture today! Yay! A bit of food shopping (if there is any!), and then a general tidy up and some laundry. Have a good day folks.

GrannySomerset Fri 06-Mar-20 08:48:00

Beautiful cold sunny morning, which lifts the spirits - just what we all seem to need just now. World Day of Prayer service this morning, taking a friend to collect her car from the garage, then supermarket this afternoon (assuming there is anything left to buy). Better get DH up and ready for the day, so hope everyone has a good one, especially our poorly posters and those with sorrows and anxieties to cope with.

Nannytopsy Fri 06-Mar-20 08:46:45

Good morning Mick and all his followers. I am late today as we went to see Fishermen’s Friends last night and didn’t get to bed until 1.30! Boy was Essex WET! There had been so much rain that we drove through floods at one point.
Lovely morning in Suffolk, off to meet a GNer at the local garden centre. Tonight we have DGC for sleepovers until Sunday - wish us luck!

JenniferEccles Fri 06-Mar-20 08:46:08

I will now admit that I had my doubts about this ‘news’ right from the start mainly because of the timing, but as everyone else was expressing sympathy I kept quiet.

The latest posting has sadly confirmed my suspicions.
Shameful.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 06-Mar-20 08:44:37

If anyone wants to "discuss" this can they start a new thread and not spoil this one.

Micks thread is normally so positive and supportive and I am saddened that it is being manipulated in this way.

Aiden flowers to you and your family at this very sad time.

Cherrytree59 Fri 06-Mar-20 08:39:42

Good morning to all on this lovely thread.

I posted this on the end of yesterday's Good Morning Thursday.

On the 1st March 13:11
Lisagran posted that
She had heard it on the news, as she was on holiday in her camper van in the area. She went on to say the family must be very shocked.

Mapleleaf Fri 06-Mar-20 08:31:43

Good morning all,

A bright and frosty morning in my neck of the woods - some cars parked overnight have a thin layer of frost on them.

Opticians later. I suspect that I will need new glasses this time. Seems to be all pay out at the moment!

Kind thoughts to those unwell or sad.

Take care, everyone.
