It could be something tiny, or something life-changing. We'd love to know.

My best friend when I was expecting my first baby - you leave your dignity on the doorstep of the hospital when you go in and pick it up on the way out. Someone else told me, your children do not always need you to solve their problems they just need someone they can vent their emotions at.

Your performance in bed is better than the state of the bedroom - someone must be having a great time in my bedroom;-)

More men stray because of wet washing hanging around than anything else

Buy cheap, buy twice!

After something awful that happened a nurse said to me - one day you will look back and it will all be in the past. Tomorrow is another day - a fresh start.

Listen to what's being said not what you think is being said!

My mother always said when tidying up was on the menu "don't just put things down, put them away".
So true.

It wasn’t advice I was given, I read it and I love it:

“If the person you are talking to doesn’t appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear.” - Winnie the Pooh

Before you say criticise think: Is it kind? Is it true? Is it necessary?

Nothing very profound but have always followed it, and brought my boys up the same. "Always take your litter home with you (if there is no bin handy)"

Advice from a schoolteacher when I broke my ankle running to catch a train home. Never run after buses or men, there’s always one coming behind. That goes for trains too! ?

Sawsage2 Wed 11-Mar-20 17:17:20

Love many, trust few and always paddle your own canoe!

Chewbacca Wed 11-Mar-20 17:20:08

What goes around, comes around.

Treat people as you would want to be treated. Be kind. Remember you can never unsay anything.

Lainie45 Wed 11-Mar-20 18:16:23

Be kind to yourself ?

Lainie45 Wed 11-Mar-20 18:17:10

This is so true and how I was brought up ?

harrison53 Wed 11-Mar-20 18:19:30

Don't be too fussy - life's too short to stress over every little issue.

Wendy Wed 11-Mar-20 18:30:28

From the Water Babies. ‘Do as you would be done by’

Harris27 Wed 11-Mar-20 18:35:27

Treat people the way you’d like to be treat yourself,

There’s a lid for every pot (on relationships). How I wish some people I know could find a lid...

Evie64 Wed 11-Mar-20 20:05:47

Mine was a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt , "Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent". Wise words indeed.

glammagran Wed 11-Mar-20 20:14:48

You reap what you sow

Fran3669 Wed 11-Mar-20 20:22:11

Under-promise and over-deliver.

This is mainly work related; I work in financial services in case you’re wondering grin

Kenver60 Wed 11-Mar-20 20:31:49

Never judge the ginger by the label on the jar.
