Alexa you could try without the dot after the com. I know GN puts a dot there in their 'contact us' bit, but it's very unusual for there to be one.

Her parents must have instilled a feeling of dread in her and have not handled the situation well at all.

No 3 year old should be feeling like that if the adults around her had handled the situation correctly.
