I’d love to get some paint but I can’t think of anything else I need.
Seems that online shopping is booming. Am I missing out??‍♀️

I have just ordered compost from a local gardening centre. They have to close but are using their initiative to keep going.

Ordered a salix tree to replace our one that came down in storm Dennis, this when planted will remind us of this year and how as it blooms so will we.

It would be quicker to list what I don't buy online.

Kim19 Thu 02-Apr-20 11:42:28

Not a thing. Inexplicable really as I normally order regularly. Whatever will I do with all this cash I must be saving? Aaaah reunions! Did toy with a jacket which I fancied rather than needed but didn't get around to it so I guess the urge wasn't that strong. Interesting indeed.

The only thing I've bought is wool.

I've ordered nuts and herbal teas from a health food shop. Granddaughters birthday presents and Easter goodies for both children and their families. Shampoo and face cream for me. Booked one rare food slot in 2 and half weeks and hope it is successful.

BeenBizzy Thu 02-Apr-20 11:21:17

My last purchase arrived by mail this morning.

One for holding my hair back and the other for using with rollers. ?

I like watching the Ideal World, QVC, Gemporia and TJC jewellery tv advertising. Rarely buy anything considering I check them out most days. Have bought some nice pieces of silver jewellery at reasonable prices . My latest buy was a pair of suspension pillows and am very pleased with them. It's always easy to return items too if they're not suitable.

I understand by ordering things on line you are helping keep some companies solvent, but really aren’t we putting the delivery drivers and company staff at risk?

Craftycat Thu 02-Apr-20 11:20:19

Bedding plants & cat food- with 4 cats we need a lot & it is hard to carry so now get it from Amazon & it is cheaper too.

Leah50 Thu 02-Apr-20 11:18:06

Nothing, I've never shopped online & don't intend to start. Haven't been out shopping either for nearly two weeks, living in a village with no access to a car I've always shopped daily by bus, so no panic buying either, only what I could carry in two bags. Having to start inventing meals now from my larder & small freezer.

Elastic, want to make masks, there's a change in view from what I see in the news, some chance a mask will be useful after all. Not wanting to compete with the NHS for medical grade I'll make some. Maybe, at some point, there'll be a call from nurses etc to get home made masks. If so, it maybe a good thing to spend time making.

Specialist diet food for my cat - she now has enough to last her till Christmas as it was the only size they had grin

Hair dye mixing bowl & brushes

New Amazon fire stick to replace the one that broke down

E books

A cupboard for the landing to match the one we already have

Vacuum bags with it's own vacuum so I can clear out my wardrobes during lockdown.

DH has been trying to mend a lawn mower. He took it apart and found the previous owner had bodged a repair which caused the machine to rattle and roll. Happily he found a new part on line which was delivered yesterday. He is so pleased to have fixed it and couldn't wait to cut the grass. It's the little things that matter.

I though t we were told not to buy non essential online
I love shopping online can’t always get local shops to deliver
Thanks everyone

Books for my iPad. I miss the charity shops for books. Buy, read, return, buy again. An excellent set up.
Cat litter came yesterday. 30 litres should keep her going. One tiddle and she expects a complete clean out ?
Vitamins. Got those from Amazon. Took longer to arrive, but arrive they did and I hadn’t run out.
I don’t know what to send the GC. They insist that they don’t want anything. I shall be visiting when I can, whenever that will be and treat them to a takeaway. Always goes down very well !
Thinking of getting NowTV. It looks good.

Froglady Thu 02-Apr-20 10:56:04

Kindle books, so that I don't run out of things to read.
