My daughter has just dropped off - at a safe distance- a box of lovely fresh veg from a local firm. I’m really impressed. In it are
1 avocado
4 bananas
1 swede
1 pineapple
2 brown onions
1 red onion
1 orange
2 satsumas
1 red and 1 green pepper
1 red and 1 green apple
1 huge lemon
2limes
1 white cabbage
1 cauliflower
1 leek
1x 500g broccoli
3 salad tomatoes
2 parsnips
1 punnet of strawberries
1 punnet of raspberries
1punnet of red grapes
1 pear and another apple
3 plums
6 medium potatoes
1 lettuce
1 cucumber
The freshness and quality are very good and I am thrilled to have received this box of healthy food. It cost £20 and I’m happy with that.

A beautiful bouquet delivered from my lovely DH to wish me a happy Easter and to thank me for looking after him so well during our self-isolation. I cried, of course ...

Receiving some plant cuttings and a lovely Easter card left in the porch by a friend. Our neighbour also giving us a plant for the garden. Speaking to family and friends on the phone and wishing each other a Happy Easter.

I managed to have a short walk despite my very sore knee.
DD rang and we had a lovely long chat and she managed to off load some of her frustrations of NHS work, and sadness at her colleague losing her husband this week.
A volunteer friend, she is 93, rang to see how we were.
Sitting in the sun, again, and seeing a little blue butterfly.
The beautiful clear, high blue sky.

Having broken my arm at the shoulder in October, I have been forced to rely on step in stretch bras. They give little or no support - by mid afternoon my boobs were resting on my tummy (not a good look).

Now, thanks to physiotherapy, I am able to reach my damaged arm round my back, so, today, I decided to wear my black lace underwired bra. Was well pleased when I managed with a struggle and some pain to do it up at the back. Triumph! (deliberate pun). I rushed to the mirror to see my new, perky silhouette, only to realise that the bra is on inside out. Tough - no one will know........ except you lot! Ssh don't tell anybody.

SirChenjin, you broke the rules by forming a crowd of 3? grin . Should have kept walking perhaps? I have been guilty of doing the same when out walking until I was made aware.

Found that my local bakery had a new supply of all types of flour. Bought one bag for myself and one for DD1. Tried to pay for it with my contactless card and it was declined! Tried again by inserting it with PIN number and it was accepted. What a relief!

Listening to CrowdScience on the BBC.

Hearing LOUD and quite intrusive music from over the fence but then realising I was actually enjoying the song grin

Having a finger of Kit-Kat with a cup of green tea.

Being invited to a virtual birthday party for a friend (80) isolated in her Australian home.

Discovering 92 people read my Lockdown Diaries blog yesterday!

Seeing a wonderful video on Twitter which showed NZ.
I'm not sure how to share but it was posted by @Auckland_NZ

I had such a laugh with my family on houseparty tonight. I did a quiz and we were crying with laughter. Just what I needed tonight.

My day was made happy by the sunshine we’ve enjoyed here in Spain. First day all week I’ve not worn a cardigan!

What's a Green Tit, Fiachna50? I don't think I've heard of one.

Fiachna50 Fri 10-Apr-20 19:42:29

I saw a Green-Tit in the garden and had a lovely Whatsapp call with family today.

A bottle of £26.99 pink champagne from Waitrose - substitution for the very cheap pink Prosecco (£6.99) I ordered.
Charged at the lower price smile

Aw that’s lovely MissA the kind of gift that lasts a while too and will bring joy each time you use it. I love rose scented soap too.

Today I got a WhatsApp photo of my gorgeous 8 week old grandson with the fluffy grey Easter bunny I posted to him only yesterday!

The caption from DGS via Mummy and Daddy said
'I love him Gran', and it made my day because we haven't seen him for weeks.

We were just getting to know him before lockdown.

MissAdventure Fri 10-Apr-20 19:03:45

The mum of the lady I supported today is decluttering, and asked if I would use a bar of scented soap (unused, of course!)

When I got home and opened the little box, inside is a really lovely rose scented soap.

The smell reminds me of my Nan's garden. smile

The same as everyday since this covid19 virus started so very grateful that all my family and friends are safe

On our road we all have very long thin gardens that go down to a railway line. My lovely neighbour next door doesn't bother with her garden at all, it's all overgrown but boasts a huge beautiful Bramey Apple right at the bottom. The family next door to her have asked if they can make a small community garden in the area of garden where the tree is, for our three houses.

He says he will put gates in our fences for us if we wish to use it. It looks lovely and he has worked hard on it.

All I can think is what a nice positive thing to do in such uncertain times.

Discovered a hedgehog has taken up residence ina large tipped over flowerpot behind our shed.
Realised that a blue tot is nesting in the box on our house wall. The box has been there for about 6 years and never been used before.

Helennonotion Fri 10-Apr-20 18:56:30

I managed to find some self-raising flour at the local garage shop of all places! Easter cake baked and cooling!

rubysong Fri 10-Apr-20 18:49:59

Arranging for my daily walk to be without any steep hills! DH had to go to collect his prescription so he dropped me off half way there and I got a very pleasant half hour walk home. (I don't like hills but we are in quite a hilly area.)

Sarahmob Fri 10-Apr-20 18:45:29

On our walk with our DGS (who is living with us) we lost ‘Peter’ his favourite toy - retracing our steps we found Peter and that made him (and me) very happy ?
