Good Morning Everyone,
Up early as usual, to what looks like another warm day here in Brackley this morning.
A quiet day to day I might treat myself to a bar of chocolate which I have brought .
Otherwise a lockdown, I did buy myself some 5KG dumbells a year or so back so may exercise using them .
Trying to avoid becoming a couch potato .
Mick

Happy Easter everyone from a grey and misty bit of Argyll and Bute. Roast lamb tonight. We are really missing the Spring Classics and wondering how the professional cyclists are keeping sane, we may get out ourselves if it brightens up a bit. I'll have to work off the Easter egg somehow!

Good morning and Happy Easter from sunny Colchester. Thunderstorm forecast for later and weather back to normal next week. Will sit out in the garden this morning.
We have roast chicken and DH has made stuffing from scratch for the first time! We also have a chocolate orange to share.
Happy Anniversary Nina and Gramma flowers

Grammaretto Sun 12-Apr-20 07:59:40

ninathenana
Happy Anniversary to you. wine
It's one we won't forget.

I wonder what the day will bring.

Easter greetings to you all from an overcast Co Antrim. It is certainly going to be a strange day. The clergy here are still allowed to go in to the empty church and record a service which on a day like today will be very meaningful to watch from home.
My DD and DG will bring us home made Easter eggs this afternoon and have a catch up from a distance.
We certainly will never have such an unusual Easter again I hope.

Good morning and Happy Easter from a sunny Cheshire. How lucky have we been with this weather? The lockdown would have so much more unpleasant if it had rained nonstop as it did earlier this year. We have still not finished jetwashing the flags/patio in the back garden, so will have another bash at it today, but think it will probably be tomorrow before it is finished, and then will have to do the drive! But than can wait a week or so. Will facetime our children and grandchildren later. Our younger son picked up our Easter eggs (from our porch) and dropped them off at his brother's along with his own, so the children don't miss out. Bet the DGC have already made a start on them for breakfast!

Happy Anniversary Grammaretto and Nina it's certainly an Anniversary that you won't forget! Hoping you all have a lovely Easter dinner and can make the most of these strange times. Take care.

Good morning all from a very cloudy Glasgow.

An easy day today, just reading the papaers and chilling. DD is dropping off our shopping, so we should be fine for the next week. I'm so looking forward to a chat from the doorstep and she at the bottom of the drive.

Roast turkey with all the trimmings, including the requested stuffing. I found some frozen parsley in the depths of the freezer. I think I got the bag reduced to 5p at Christmas, I knew it would come in handy! wink

Sending anniversary wishes to Grammaretto and Ninathenana ??
My friend and neighbour left an Easter gift on my doorstep, I usually have a gift for her wee granddaughter too, but I'm so embarrassed I have nothing to give. sad
I'm going to make some Easter cupcakes and leave them on my neighbour's doorsteps, as they have een so kind to me. I shall have to ration the mini eggs, as I have only one packet! grin.

Have the best day you can!

Happy Anniversary to Grammaretto and Ninathenana.
Goodness, some of you have been so inventive and well- prepared for Easter. Enjoy all the special meals and chocs. x

Happy Easter Sunday from sunny Manchester. Lamb for lunch today. Its been in the freezer since Christmas so needs to be used. As the family won't be here, it will last us 2 days. I had bought Easter eggs weeks ago along with a few treats. For once, I was organised! Gs1 will walk up later with his daddy and we will leave his goody bag at the gate. He knows now that we have to be at a distance, he thinks we are ill! Not sure what all this is doing to our children's minds. More garden, few chores and reading. Any other time I would have thought of blissful! Have a peaceful day. (((hugs))). ?For those with more worries than most.

Good morning Michael, Annie and all who follow, from our sunny bit of Berks.
The sky is blue and the birds are singing and chirping their hearts out.
We should have been celebrating this Easter Sunday with DD and family, but will join them all for a Zoom session this afternoon.
I cooked a joint of lamb in the slow cooker yesterday and will do roast vegetables later.
Happy Anniversary to Gramaretto and Ninathenana
A bit later on we shall listen to our Church service on line and remember all our friends.
I have been enjoying the garden, mostly reading in it, but feel so lucky to have a garden, and make the most of it.
One of our neighbours brought us some chocolate cup cakes yesterday afternoon, that she had baked, and also had her baby daughter with her, at the end of the drive. She has grown so quickly, and had a sweet smile.
Nina glad you came back with reassurance that it was lamb, not lab. I was thinking chocolate, golden or black?
Sending best wishes to Gillybob and Marydoll and all who have had problems.
Have a good day one and all. Take care and stay safe.

BladeAnnie Sun 12-Apr-20 08:24:41

Happy Easter to everyone from a sunny mid-Notts. As these strange times continue I'm sure we are all missing family and friends especially today. Stay safe and may Easter Sunday be kind to us all x

Good morning Easter Sunday from a bright and ?Northampton.

Looking forward to our neighbours' drinks party at lunchtime - chairs at the end of the drive and shout to each other! I shall be taking an Aperol spritz out today - I fancied something special last night, so cracked open a bottle of Prosecco.

Shall sit in the garden and read this afternoon, then an early dinner and be ready to continue our family WhatsApp game of Trivial Pursuit. Be good to see everyone.

Have a good day, everyone, and congratulations to those celebrating anniversaries today.

Good morning from east London, little bit cloudy here, supposed to be heating up again. On our walk yesterday, we found, for the second time this week, bits of Epping Forest where we’d never walked before. Close to home, been close by but it’s surprising how much there is of it. The local park that’s open had someone ‘in attendance’ and arrows have been painted on the paths to create a 1-way system. Will pop over to DD today or tomorrow to drop off some Easter choc. ; DP has already earmarked the chocolate caramel bunnies for himself. Sad news yesterday, the last of my Dad’s siblings, his younger sister died on Friday night. Nothing to do with Co-vid, she’d not been well for a few months and I think when she was told she couldn’t go back to her own home, that was it. Since my mam died 10 years ago, I’d become closer to my aunt and will miss the chats we had when I was up north. I have already raised a cup of tea in salute to her. Have the best day you can.

Curlywhirly Sun 12-Apr-20 08:36:23

Mythbirtthedragon so sorry to hear about your aunt thanks

SusieB50 Sun 12-Apr-20 08:38:28

Good morning and Happy Easter , my first totally alone ever . Woke up this morning very early after an awful dream . I had a cup of tea and decided to try and go back to sleep, which I surprisingly did till 8am ! I’m going to cook a chicken today and hope to have Easter lunch via FaceTime with my daughter and family if we can co- ordinate things .

GabriellaG54 Sun 12-Apr-20 08:44:20

Good morning campers...hi...ok, ??
I woke this morning with a hymn going round and round in my head. I was humming it on my run and I daresay it will surface again during the day...no idea why.
It was 'Immortal invisible...
Godalming is flourishing in the sunshine.
Trees flaunting their fresh green mantles and window boxes, hanging baskets and kerbside greens full of wild daffs and riots of colour.
I took a different route today and stopped to breathe in the fresh earthy, woody smells and gaze at horses, sheep and llamas grazing and fields full of burgeoning life.
Some fields of rape, when in full 'bloom', hurt your eyes, such is the intensity of colour.
All is still as I 'write' this after drowning the pots in their morning drink of water and enjoying my cappuccino with a huge M&S apple turnover (£1).
I bought 3 yesterday they are sooo good.

Brunch will be scrambled chilli eggs on a toasted muffin and for dinner (around 5.30pm) I'll be having warm quiche, new potatoes and a big bowl of salad followed by fresh raspberries and cream with mini meringues, all courtesy of M&S - their food really is first class.
For now it's adiós and I do hope that this special Sunday brings peace and contentment to everyone wherever you are.
☀️☀️☀️???and a very Happy Easter to all.

Good Morning from an overcast Fife, it may brighten up but not as nice as yesterday when we had sun the whole afternoon. Happy Anniversary Nina and Grammaretto. This will be an anniversary you will never forget. It will be an odd day for us all who normally celebrate Easter with our families but I'm sure we shall all make the best of the day. Keep your chin up GN's and look forward to the future flowers

Greyduster Sun 12-Apr-20 08:56:45

Good Easter Sunday Morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is out again in South Yorkshire. I feel rather drained as DH was not well last night and I didn’t get a lot of sleep, so we will have a quiet(er) day today. It seems a lot of us are having roast pork for lunch! Shame it’s not with the family, but there we are.
Happy Anniversary to Grammaretto and Nina; enjoy your day!??

Anniebach Sun 12-Apr-20 08:57:22

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Happy Easter

Maybelater2020 Sun 12-Apr-20 08:58:34

Good morning from Chester where the weather is overcast. I will make an effort and wash and blow dry my hair today before facetime with family. I have spent the last week busy in the garden but plan a lazy day today. Roast chicken for lunch and maybe a glass of wine, then some quiet reading and a little sewing. Have the best day you can everyone.

Gingster Sun 12-Apr-20 08:59:20

Happy Easter Day to you all. There’s a lot of food related posts today. We’ll have Roast chicken. All I do is think what to have for the next meal. . Can’t go on like this. Easter Eggs today and tomorrow start a new regime. (She says) ?. Yes Ginny42 the bluebells are just beginning to spring to life here too and the trees all have that delicate shade of green. So beautiful. It’s strange URMSTONGRAN , we’ve had such beautiful weather here since lockdown and you have had cloudy days.(just an observation, not rubbing it in) Life is topseyturvey at the mo. I’m looking for a new book so will try The Salt Path. Always good to be recommended. A peaceful Easter Day to you all. ????

moggie Sun 12-Apr-20 09:03:57

I made wholemeal bread rolls y’day with help of kitchenaid to have with tea, they were good.

Take care all & stay safe, have a good day everyone.

harrigran Sun 12-Apr-20 09:08:41

Good morning, it is overcast here in the NE.
Saw and talked to the family on WhatsApp last night, youngest GD had the tent up in the garden and was using it as a personal den.
DIL had been making masks from pillow cases, they looked really professional. She said there was an instruction video on youtube.
Chateaubriand for lunch today, rescued from the freezer.
Have the best day you can.

aggie Sun 12-Apr-20 09:09:25
